Glenn Beck Warns That 10,000 Pastors Are Willing To Die Opposing Marriage Equality

To hear them tell it, you’d think that folks likes Glenn Beck or Mike Huckabee or others who cry wolf on a daily basis are going to be rounded up and tossed into prison any moment now. With the impending Supreme Court decision that is expected to make marriage equality the law of the land across the United States, they’ve been screaming into any microphone that they can access that Christians are going to be persecuted and turned into criminals for discriminating against the LGBT community. Just the other day, presidential candidate Mike Huckabee sounded the alarm and claimed that Christians would become criminals.

Now, Glenn Beck and his fringe religious friends are sounding their own alarm and proclaiming that there are at least 10,000 members of their “Black Robe Regiment” who are willing to die resisting the fictitious persecution of Christians in America that they’ve been predicting for years.

Via Right Wing Watch:

“The number in the Black Robe Regiment is about 70,000 now,” Beck said. “The number that I think will walk through a wall of fire, you know, and possible death, is anywhere between 17,000 and 10,000. That is an extraordinary number of people that are willing to lay it all down on the table and willing to go to jail or go to death because they serve God and not man.”

Garlow was in complete agreement, saying that the necessity of being willing to die is “honestly where we are.”

“We’ve come to that moment,” he said. “People like you and me and, thank God, many others are digging in very deeply and laying the benchmark of where we’re going to stand on these issues.”

“You’re going to see these 10,000 to 20,000 pastors begin to stand up,” Beck promised, “and say ‘it doesn’t matter if I lose my church, it doesn’t matter if I lose my building, it doesn’t matter if I lose my life, I will not sit down!'” (Source)

Martyrdom and sacrificing yourself for your religion? Where have we heard that before? Doesn’t that sound an awful lot like radical jihadists, the same people who right-wing alarmists want us to declare war on, even though they share a lot in common?

If you were wondering who the Black Robe Regiment is, it’s an organization of right-wing clerics created by David Barton and Glenn Beck back in 2010. Here’s David Barton himself explaining it on Glenn Beck’s show in April 2010, before Fox News decided Beck was too radical even for them:

“The Black Brigade or Black Regiment were the preachers, because they wore black robes. Black preachers, white preachers — they all wore black probes. And the British specifically blamed the preachers for the American Revolution. That’s where the title “Black Regiment” came from. One of the British officials talked about that.

It’s interesting that the British so hated what the preachers — they claim if it hadn’t been for the preachers, America would still be a happy British colony. So they blamed it on the preachers.

When they come to America, they start to decimating churches. They went to New York City. Nineteen churches — they burned 10 to the ground. They went across Virginia burning churches. They went across New Jersey burning churches. Because they blamed these preachers.” (Source)

The truth is that Glenn Beck and others of his ilk aren’t going to do a damn thing once marriage equality is the law of the land, other than beat their chests and find something else to get their followers riled up about.

What is alarming is the fact that there are many unhinged individuals out there who aren’t aware that people like Glenn Beck or Alex Jones are little more than clever scam artists selling fear to anyone who can’t see through their act. Some of these people will see the Supreme Court’s expected decision as the beginning of the persecution Glenn Beck and David Barton have been predicting, and it is very possible that they will take it upon themselves to commit acts of domestic terrorism.

Unfortunately, there’s little that can be done because the First Amendment protects free speech, even when it is hateful and irresponsible. Unless Glenn Beck were to call for armed rebellion against the government – which he won’t do because he’s not stupid enough to lose his show – he can continue to flirt with that fine line between inciting violence and free speech, while laughing all the way to the bank.

No, I’m facetious and sarcastic. You need to learn the difference, plus a lot of other things.

        Yeah, hateful

No, but you sure are stupid. And I’m not being facetious. S’long Jethro.

You look so foolish. Your rhetoric is as hate filled as any on this thread.

Truth is hateful to people who hate the truth like you

You obviously don’t even know what truth is.
I love truth, and the truth is, you haven’t backed up anything you have said about politics, science, or the Bible. You can’t back up a single statement you have made, not one scientific fact, not any part of the Constitution, and not a ssingle Bible quote.
All you have given us is your hate filled opinions.

Matthew 19:1-8 — Did Jesus say anything about homosexuality? Of course, when asked about marriage, Jesus issued a sweeping condemnation of all sexual relationships outside of the male/female model established in Gen 1:27, which he specifically cited.

Romans 1:18-32 —Though most of the passages deal with the male perspective, for the first time there is a specific mention of female homosexuality. And as the verdict comes in, we discover it too is a depraved condition brought on by a sinful nature.

1Cor 6:9-11—The only passage of scripture that clearly acknowledges former (ex) homosexuals in the church. They are listed along with other ex-sinners who have been changed by the power of Christ. It is certain that Pastor Paul knew there were former homosexuals in his local church and he celebrated their freedom in Christ Jesus. With a completely different tone in comparison to the volume of harsh, negative reaction to the unrepentant homosexuality, scripture here ends with the tremendous hope and goodness of God.

Galatians 5:19 — Many areas that the apostle traveled to take the gospel indeed were very accepting of homosexual practices, yet he did not back away from communicating the sinfulness of such practice. Corinth, Ephesus and Rome as well as other major cities of the ancient world, were all too often cesspools of all forms of sexual immorality. Undeterred, Paul drew from sources familiar to him and forged them with New testament teachings of God’s grace to forgive and cleanse. In the letter to the Galatians, he teaches that the “works [not plurality] of the flesh are manifest. The flesh or sinful human nature is always considered and enemy to God.

      • conservative79

Ephesians 5:3-7— Paul repeats his warnings against “uncleaness” to the church at Ephesus.

Colossians 3:5-7 — Paul issues his third warning against “uncleaness” to the church at Colosse. This time he adds instructions on overcoming/controlling the sin. Believers are to mortify or deaden themselves and exercise self control (a fruit of the Spirit) over such actions. Homosexuals claim that denying the free expression of homosexuality is “suppressing one’s true self”, but scripture clearly instructs that we are hold our bodies in check and refuse it participation in sexual immorality. This passage further emphasizes that no one should expect to escape the “wrath of God” except they repent.

1 Tim 1:10 — the law was not made for the righteous, but for the “lawless and disobedient.” The law (of Moses) encompassed the ceremonial, judicial and moral components of human interaction. Christ neutralized the ceremonial aspects but upheld the judicial and moral aspects, tendered with grace and mercy. Hence, homosexuality remains a sin “worthy of death” but yet qualified for forgiveness through repentance. The phrase Paul uses “defiling themselves with mankind” is another link of homosexual behavior to disobedience and uncompatible to sound or acceptable Christian doctrine.

Titus 1:16 — This is an aggressive attack and exposure of the psychosis of those who are “defiled” and commit “abominations”. Again, let us identify the source of the Apostle Paul’s strong condemnation. When one accepts what God has pronounced abominable (by God’s own definition) and rejects the created model which God has pronounced good, a process of hardening and mental perversion begins to take root in the mind. Such is the danger of justifying sin. Sin corrupts the mind and conscience (the seat of individual integrity and morality) rendering it incapable of making spiritually sound decisions.

Jude 1:4,7,19 — Jude forcefully revealed that like the Sodomites, certain men in the church had gone after “strange flesh.” I believed Jude was describing contemporary “gay christians”. His choice of phraseology is a combination of two words: heteros and sarx meaning “another flesh with the same quality.” His inclusion of the word flesh pointed to the homosexuality (not the inhospitality) of the Sodomites. Similar to the Apostle Paul, Jude selected strong language to convey the serious of the charge facing the church. Allowing unrepentant homosexuals into Christian fellowship without applying the same standards of admission applied to other sinners would be a spiritual death nell for the church. Repentance is the major action a sinner must take to be accepted into the family of God.

Rev 21:27—The final book of the Bible, finalizing a complete picture stunning denouncements of all forms of homosexual conduct. From Genesis to Revelation, the Word of God firmly establishes once and for all the sinfulness of homosexuality, but also provides a wide opportunity for repentance and redemption through Jesus Christ. Homosexuality, as seen through the eyes of scripture is a spiritual aberration, a result of the fallen nature of man, a disease of the soul. It produces nothing life giving, in essence opposite of the nature of God who is life. Therefore it “worketh” or produces abomination which is death.

None of these ‘quotes’ are from the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John).
The Gospels are the only part of the Bible that contain the words of Jesus.
All of these quotes are from the followers of Jesus, not from Jesus himself.

      • conservative79

I quoted Jesus and you – like I figured you would do – skipped right over them.

      • Adam Kadmon

As I pointed out to you before, you did not quote Jesus or the Gospels, you quoted commentary from a conservative Christian website.

      • conservative79

Actually, no, it was commentary on verses of Jesus.

      • Adam Kadmon

It was commentary on Biblical verses that appeared on a conservative Christian website.

      • conservative79

holy crap, you are very dumb.

      • Adam Kadmon

You are just too stupid for words.
You don’t even have the ability to look up verses in the Bible yourself, you have to rely on the opinions of others.
There is not one verse in the Bible that is attributed to Jesus that even mentions homosexuality, and you know it. If there was, you would have produced it.
All of the passages in the Bible that mention homosexuality are either in the Old Testament, or are attributed to one of Jesus’ followers.

      • conservative79

Ding ding ding! You actually were correct for once! Jesus never mentioned the word homosexuality. lol As I said, you’re very dumb… and very illiterate. The very first verses I gave an explanation, I said, “when asked about marriage, Jesus issued a sweeping condemnation of all sexual relationships outside of the male/female model established in Gen 1:27.”

        You fail.

      • Adam Kadmon

I told you before, Matthew 19 is about divorce.
I’ve also told you before, you didn’t quote the Bible, you quoted:
        http://www.witnessfortheworld.org/homont.html
In Matthew 19 Jesus quotes the Old Testament, which you have said multiple times ‘we no longer live in.’
Thank you for admitting Jesus never mentions homosexuality.

      • conservative79

, “when asked about marriage, Jesus issued a sweeping condemnation of all sexual relationships outside of the male/female model established in Gen 1:27.”

      • Adam Kadmon

That isn’t from the Bible, its from the website
        http://www.witnessfortheworld.org/homont.html
Matthew 19 is about divorce, not homosexuality.

      • conservative79

Still not bright I see. Matthew is the Bible. It’s about marriage and male/female sexual relationships. Not just divorce.

And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; Mat 19:2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. Mat 19:3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? Mat 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Mat 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Mat 19:7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? Mat 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. Mat 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. Mat 19:10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. Mat 19:11 ¶

But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. Mat 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Mat 19:13 ¶

Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. Mat 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Mat 19:15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. Mat 19:16 ¶

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Mat 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Mat 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Mat 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Mat 19:23 ¶

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. Mat 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Mat 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? Mat 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Mat 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? Mat 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Mat 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. Mat 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

      • Adam Kadmon

That is the very first time you quoted the Bible.
Matthew 19 is about divorce. If you have read the passage you just quoted, you would know that.
Matthew 19:14 and beyond don’t even deal with sexuality at all. I have no idea why you decided to include that, other than the fact that you didn’t read it.

      • conservative79

So you give evidence of skipping over “when asked about marriage, Jesus issued a sweeping condemnation of all sexual relationships outside of the male/female model established in Gen 1:27.”

      • Adam Kadmon

You can quote http://www.witnessfortheworld.org/homont.html as much as you like. It doesn’t change the fact that Matthew 19 is about divorce, and homosexuality is not mentioned at all.

      • conservative79

Nice job showing you didn’t read Matthew 19

      • Adam Kadmon

It shows you didn’t read Matthew 19.
“when asked about marriage, Jesus issued a sweeping condemnation of all sexual relationships outside the male female mode established in Genesis 1:27” is from
        http://www.witnessfortheworld.org/homont.html
        not from Matthew 19.

      • Adam Kadmon

That isn’t in the Bible, it’s from http://www.witnessfortheworld.org/homont.html
You just posted the entire content of Matthew 19, and that is nowhere in Matthew 19. If you had read what you posted you would know that.

      • conservative79

Mat 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female

Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Mat 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

      • conservative79

        Man for woman.

      • Adam Kadmon

Matthew 19 goes on to say that marriage is not for all men.
        See Matthew 19:12-13.

      • conservative79

So? Marriage isn’t for all men, it isn’t for all women either. God hasn’t put marriage in their lives.

      • Adam Kadmon

Matthew 19 is about divorce, not homosexuality.
Whether or not the Old Testament, which Jesus is quoting in Matthew 19, says marriage is between a man and a woman has nothing at all to do with gay marriage in a modern secular country like the United States of America.
you have personally stated, multiple times, that we do not ‘live’ in the Old Testament.
Jesus believed in the Old Testament, he was Jewish, it was his religion.
The United States doesn’t have a State sanctioned religion, in fact that would be unconstitutional.
Not all people who are married in the United States are married in a church. Not all married people in the United States had a religious wedding. In United States we have a thing called secular marriage.

      • Adam Kadmon

Just so there is no confusion on this point, I will also mention the fact that there are many Christian churches in the United States that are more than willing to marry gay couples.
I guess they don’t think we live in the Old Testament either.

      • Adam Kadmon

You didn’t quote Jesus, you quoted the website Witness for the World (dot) org.

        They describe themselves as:

Since February 16, 1996, Witness Freedom Ministries has been at the forefront of public outreach to men and women of color who struggle against same sex attractions (ssa). Today, almost 15 years later, we’re as committed as ever to leading men and women out of homosexuality and into holiness.

Actually, there are many websites that contain the exact content of your ‘Bibles Quotes’, Witness for the World is just the first site that appears on Google.

      • conservative79

You’re just stupid. I never went to that site, never even heard of it. Now, I quoted Scripture. Get over it. Quit whining.

      • Adam Kadmon

        You didn’t quote scripture.
The quotes you posted have been on the Witness for the World website for years, and they have been quoted verbatim by conservative Christians all over the Internet.
        Here is the link.
        http://www.witnessfortheworld.org/homont.html

That’s why you don’t plagiarize things from the internet. It’s far too easy to use Google to find the original source.

      • Adam Kadmon

This is the only quote from the Gospels that you provided, and it isn’t about homosexuality, it is about divorce.

Matthew 19:1-8 — Did Jesus say anything about homosexuality? Of course, when asked about marriage, Jesus issued a sweeping condemnation of all sexual relationships outside of the male/female model established in Gen 1:27, which he specifically cited.

Jesus condemned all sexual activities outside of marriage, and all non procreative sexual activity within marriage.

      • Adam Kadmon

Here is the actual quote from Matthew 19, rather than the worthless ‘analysis’ you posted.

        Matthew 19New International Version (NIV)

        Divorce
19 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan. 2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.

3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”

4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”

8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

10 The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”

11 Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

Did you even bother to read the actual Bible quote before you posted that nonsense?

      • Adam Kadmon
      • conservative79

your point? I said it was commentary.

      • Adam Kadmon

Actually, you tried to pass that stuff off as Bible quotes multiple times, when you and I both know it comes from this website
        http://www.witnessfortheworld.org/homont.html
and now you’re posting that same stuff as Bible quotes in your conversation with Jess Coast.
You should remember that every time you post something on this thread, we all get an email.

You whined like a girl about not a bible quote then I posted all the bible verses about it. Then you responded with your inept comeback that I seemed hatefilled. Wow, you’re a real bright one!

      • Adam Kadmon

You didn’t quote Bible verses, you quoted a conservative Christian web page. The only ‘quote’ from the Gospels that was part of that nonsense was Jesus speaking about divorce, not homosexuality, which was pointed out in the commentary about the quote that you posted. I can only assume that means you didn’t even read what you posted, which doesn’t surprise me at all.

There are over 200 different denominations of Christianity in the United States.
They all have one thing in common, they believe they are the one true religion, and that all the rest are false.

I deleted my comments above conservative79. I owe you an apology. I’m afraid getting you “riled-up” has made you act in such a way that even your Jesus would frown upon. I am sorry that I accused you of not knowing your bible passages which was very wrong of me. You know them very well, but I don’t think you know what they really mean. As contrite as I may be about my own behavior, I feel I must warn you that being a vicious hater won’t get you through your Pearly Gates. Neither will judging.

      • conservative79

See, you’re wrong, I do know what they mean. It’s people like you… who want to justify everything… who twist them around. Once again, hater or perhaps just ignorant liar, you accuse me of hate when I have done no such thing. You sit there and judge me and yet you tell me judging won’t get me through the pearly gates? lol You’re a bright one proving you don’t know the Bible.

      • Jess Cost

It probably does, cause I insist on arguing with an inbred dumbass like you.

      • conservative79

The only inbred dumb one is you, you continue to whine and don’t make a point and lose your pathetic argument

      • Jess Cost

LOL, you think i’m whining?? And pray tell, what points have YOU been making?? Calling everyone stupid who doesn’t agree with you is not a point.

People like you make me wish the rapture really would come. Your holier than thou ass would surely be lifted away….but then you wouldn’t have a social platform to abuse people….whatever would you do???

      • conservative79

You hafta be ignorant. I have proven you know of Scripture then have shown you up. You calling my disagreement hatred means nothing, especially coming from you. Your posting just proves how ignorant and hateful you really are.

      • conservative79

So you being wrong consistently means what exactly here? Oh right! You’re still wrong…. but you continually prove a deleted gene pool.

      • Adam Kadmon

You didn’t post ANY Bible verses. You posted someone else’s comments on Bible verses.

      • conservative79

Actually I did. What, did you close your eyes? No you’re just here like all other homo advocates to whine and bash Christians… it wouldn’t surprise me if you people were the people who threatened to kill Christians. Try looking up the thread and read or here since you’re too lazy…

    • James Allan White

I do not understand the reasoning for their being ready to die. Do I need to read the whole Beck report? However, why are all the gay right pride advocates exuberant to say let me help them on their way? I assume its an expression of surprise that they would say that? I mean because you said your more sarcastic than serious? I still think the expression leans towards hatgred, or, descension against their view that homosexuality is an abomination.

      • conservative79

Homosexuals and their advocates hate anyone who doesn’t think it is ok… especially Christians

  • Die, Mommie, Die!

Warn? I want promises! I’ll donate ALL the bullets if they pull their own triggers.

    • Dozer

Its so nice to see the tolerant left advocating the death of 10,000 people. Does the fourth reich know about you? What a great example of tolerance you are.

      • Paula Pearson

They have volunteered, so let them do it; no one is doing it to them.

      • Elegy Mills

As Paula pointed out, they’re openly volunteering. They’re advocating their own deaths, we’re just saying we’re not gonna stop them, and if they want help, we’ll happily provide it.
I get it, you didn’t get your way, so you and the rest of the republican douchebags are all butthurt and salty as hell. You poor, poor oppressed victims. Don’t worry, you’ve got good company in history with all those poor plantation owners who had to give up their slaves when slavery was abolished.

      • Adam Kadmon

These black robe fools are doing nothing more than holding themselves hostage. “Stop (gay marriage) or I’ll shoot (myself).”
The truth is, they plan to “sacrifice themselves” the same way Al Qaeda and ISIS sacrifice themselves, in the process of killing as many others as possible.

  • I’m more concerned that they’re willing to kill opposing marriage equality.

    • Judith_Priest

I’m pretty sure that’s what they’re really saying, between the lines.

They won’t go, heads bowed in prayer.
      They’ll probably start shooting Liberals.

      • Adam Kadmon

I completely agree. I see ‘willing to die’ as code for willing to kill.
I doubt that liberals will be their only targets. I’m sure they will see anyone not for them as against them. People like that see enemies everywhere.

      • conservative79

It will be liberals shooting Christians

      • Adam Kadmon

I highly doubt it, more conservativs on guns than liberals by far.

      • conservative79

Christians have a moral code, liberals don’t

      • Adam Kadmon

Did you forget about the racist conservative who shot and killed 9 liberal Christians in Charleston South Carolina? That just happened by the way.

      • conservative79

Wasn’t a conservative you hateful liberal.

      • Joe_the_Troll

        No True Scotsman fallacy.

      • conservative79

claims of fallacies are fallacious, you must be an atheist

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

        You are comically ignorant.
Denial really is a river, it springs out of your ass.

      • conservative79

So you admit that you just are completely inept

      • conservative79

It’s constantly running in your head you pathetic atheist

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

If you think I’m pathetic just because I think differently (or more) than you, then there’s nothing more pathetic than that.

      • conservative79

Thinking more and being wrong and pathetic does make you more of a fool.

      • Your hatred is so unlike anything I ever heard Jesus advocate.

      • conservative79

        Truth is hatred to progressives

      • Adam Kadmon

I’m not a liberal, you hateful conservative.
He IS a conservative. He learned all that hatred from Fox News, just like you.

      • conservative79

Liar, he was not. You left wing nuts say anything.

      • Adam Kadmon

It has been reported by multiple sources that Roof read many extremely conservative blogs and websites. What more proof would you need that he was a conservative?
He also posed with the Confederate Battle Flag in multiple pictures that he posted on social media. The only people who ‘support’ the Confederate Battle Flag are conservatives and the KKK, who are also conservatives.

      • conservative79

Multiple sources like huffpo and the pmsnbc etc? Wow

      • Adam, you are childish.

      • conservative79

Says the one whining and calling everything hatred.

      • flymenow

I hear a lot about this “moral code” of yours but spewing out the other side of your mouth is nothing but hate.

      • conservative79

So facts are hate? Oh yeah, you’re a liberal.

      • Adam Kadmon

Absolutely nothing you have said is a fact, and you have repeatedly proven that you know nothing about religion, science, or the Constitution.

      • conservative79

That is not true but you just keep living in the lying land of liberalism.

      • Adam Kadmon

I told you before, I am NOT a liberal. You have shown repeatedly that you have no grasp of facts. All you do is spit out talking points that someone else gave you, because you are unable to think for yourself.

      • Yes…that’s the problem with so many religious people. They spew out what they have been told I n Sunday school. Unhappily, many do not even value critical thinking skills, much less have them,

      • conservative79

Says the one who hasn’t posted anything resembling critical thinking. All you post is typical head up the butt group think

      • Yeppers

      • Jess Cost

He doesn’t even know anything about the Bible….stupid trolls are the worst!!

      • Adam Kadmon

Stupid trolls are the best, if you like killing trolls.

      • conservative79

It’s you who don’t know squat about it. Stupid trolls are the worst, I agree, especially when you claim I don’t know the Bible!

      • Adam Kadmon

You have made enough false claims about the Bible to prove you have never read the Bible.

      • conservative79

Another lie by the biblically illiterate.

      • Which interpretation do you happen to know? And what are you 13 yeas old, and the kid of a preacher man?

      • Jess Cost

You only know the little parts you twist and weave together, you vicious insignifi-CUNT.

      • conservative79

No, troll, I know that you twist it like satan and use it for your pathetic purpose. But you keep your head up your butt and live in the liberal land of delusion.

      • Jess Cost

LOL!! You are privy to all the “facts” aren’t you?

      • Jess Cost

You are a joke. A very bad joke. A joke that incites eye-rolls of galactic proportions.

      • conservative79

You’re only eye rolling because you don’t know Scripture and you’re speaking with one who does.

      • Jess Cost

        Loser.

      • Which interpretation do you know?

      • conservative79

        Durrr…. there’s only one interpretation.

      • Jess Cost

You know how to perform a google search and apply the old copy/paste trick. I think that might be the summation of your skills. As I stated above, you are a joke….a very bad joke. One that makes everybody feel sorry for you.

      • conservative79

Actually that’s a pretty stupid claim but coming from you, I understand. You thinking? lol Stop lying… you progressives are very good at that however. You’ve done that in every post just about.

      • I believe you know your particular religions interpretations of the Bible. That does not mean that you know the Bible.

      • conservative79

Yawn…. you are a bore you petty atheist. The Bible is a history. There are some poetry books and then some prophecy thrown in. You continually show you are clueless.

      • Actually. Agree with the last comment. What it isn’t is the infallible word of your fairy tale God.

      • And you have proven Jesus comment “That pride goeth before the fall”

      • Eh?

      • Whose version of fact? The bs that Jesus was born of Virgin Mary. I have a bridge in Lndn to sell you,

      • conservative79

Truth is version? LOL What a wanker.

      • conservative79

Verified by 4 witnesses. You aren’t very smart. Then in the Talmud, Jesus was said to be a bastard. So…

      • Excuse me. Do NOT make a statement so hateful that you would actually accuse an entire political party of having no moral code. It sounds like you are saying that no liberals are Christian and that is the most judgmental thing you could say. I’m sorry your church didn’t take what Jesus said to heart. Seems he said something about “not judging” and a lot about loving your neighbor.

      • conservative79

Excuse me, what was hateful? I was rather amused, and am especially at your ignorant posting. You might want to read past that sentence you’ve heard ignorant people say quoting out of context and see that Jesus was telling us HOW to judge. I’m sorry you want to accept one sinful lifestyle…. now look, child molesters want special privilege just because of this ruling. Hmmm. Perhaps you’re going to be okiedokie accepting that one to and say the same things you do about the gays.

      • Adam Kadmon

At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

11 “No one, sir,” she said.

“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

The only lesson Jesus teaches about judgment is that it is Gods place to judge, not yours.

      • Adam Kadmon

        John 8

      • conservative79

Wow, and your point is? That was a specific situation.

      • Adam Kadmon

Everything Jesus did in the Bible is “a specific situation”.
Feel free to quote Jesus preaching aginst homosexuality. Right, you can’t, because Jesus never preached against homosexuality.

      • conservative79

        He upheld moral law dimwit.

      • Adam Kadmon

Just like I said, you can’t produce a quote where Jesus speaks about homosexuality. And you want to call me a dimwit. You obviously don’t know anything about the Bible, and you can’t admit when you’re wrong.

      • conservative79

Do you have a problem with words? He upheld moral law.

        You’re obviously clueless.

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

There is no such thing as a valid moral law, there is only the law which most people, who are guided by a functional conscience, are willing to live with. Even where you who ignore your good conscience are in the majority, you don’t represent most people of other cultures. Your conscience is the only place where any morality can be found, and when you ignore this in favor of some dogmatic code, then you become amoral.

      • conservative79

That was just all kinds of stupid, but you are an atheist

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

Yes, I am an atheist. That means I don’t believe in what is probably not true. That alone doesn’t make me better than a religious person, but I do love the way you use that word as a slur. When you insist that lies are unassailable, and that the evil treatment of others who harm nobody is moral, that does not make you better than anybody. Go get yourself a life, get an education, and find something better to do than harass people who you don’t understand.

      • Absolutely true. Never.

      • Or a parable

      • That I agree with. Do Jesus actions in this story resemble the hatred you have been spewing?

      • conservative79

        It appears Jim is illiterate

      • conservative79

        You’d call Jesus hateful.

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

You really show your ignorance with the presumption that all who doubt your delusional assertions are liberal. Between your brain-stunting echo chamber and the rest of the world are many thought groups which you should know of and are liable to remain forever ignorant on, but to frame it in terms which you can understand there is your group’s code and there are those who disagree with it. Those who disagree follow their own conscience, while those in your group ignore their conscience in favor of what they are told to do. You would give the nonsense argument that without a code, society crumbles into chaos, but this is not happening as we abandon your churches because most of us are directed by our evolved

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

When engaging in the former, you increasingly deviate from the observable truth. Since good is about truth relative to socially-sustainable behavior, this deviation leads only to greater violence and shameful injustice. The latter course of avoiding the truth which you find so inconvenient simply insulates you from the truth, enabling you to justify to yourself what you would otherwise know is wrong on your part. Either way, you are the liar which any actual and good deity would damn without further consideration.

      • Who the hell ever told you that. Are you of the belief that we do have have an inherent sense of right and wrong. I nd my friends set very high bars for our own ethical behavior.

      • conservative79

Awww, that is precious. Your OWN ethics? LOL

So, let’s take a stab at this and see if you can wrap your brain around it. Let’s say your “ethics” one day change. Now I don’t think that is going to fly. What is the standard for your ethical code?

      • You’re cimpletely full of it n that one idiot.

      • conservative79

Morality comes from God. You pathetic atheists have to borrow your morals from what you think doesn’t exist. LOL

You sit in God’s lap to slap his face.

      • john

Your a loser moron please who is killing doctors patients in abortion clinics liberals idiot your So brainwashed it’s pathetic get your head out of foxes ass dummy.

      • conservative79

So a guy who writes incoherently, lacks grammar, and is pretty clueless about what side is what making him the moron babbles nonsense like the typical lib… LOL Way to go John, big dummy!

      • conservative79

So facts are dumb to a progressive? LOL Get your head out of Obama’s butt, retard. BTW, it wasn’t a Christian bombing any place, moron.

      • Joe_the_Troll

With what, the guns they all hate and want banned, according to conservatives?

      • conservative79

when guns are banned by the government, only government will have guns. That didn’t work out too well for the Jews in Germany did it?

      • Adam Kadmon

You got that old cliche wrong. It is “When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.”

      • conservative79

No, I said it the way I meant it.

      • Adam Kadmon

So you think that banning guns will stop criminals from having guns?
        You sound like a liberal!

      • conservative79

The government will be the outlaws. I didn’t figure you’d understand.

      • Adam Kadmon

You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about.

      • conservative79

Great inept response but you’ve continually had those so you’re consistent!

      • Adam Kadmon

I am a gun owner, are you?
You can barely form a coherent thought.
All you seem capable of doing is making ignorant, ilinformed statements that you can’t back up with any facts; and for some reason you think you are clever.

      • conservative79

No ill informed statements at all. Your ignorance can’t grasp what is being said but you are rather foolish. I back posts up when needed. Your posts are ignorant. So…

      • Adam Kadmon

You haven’t back up a single post here. You seem to have a problem expressing yourself as well.

      • conservative79

You’re inability to understand what is being said isn’t my problem at all

      • Adam Kadmon

I’ve heard all those arguments before. In fact, I’ve read the very page you pulled it from.
Don’t confuse disagreement with lack of understanding.

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

Says the guy who understands nothing, and expresses himself like a mentally-challenged child.

      • conservative79

Got your tampon in a bunch?

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

Just heard from your mother, and I told her you need to be kept away from your computer for awhile.

      • conservative79

Wow, what a comeback, did you get that from your dead false prophet?

      • conservative79

Your ineptitude is not my fault

      • Adam Kadmon

I asked you a simple question.
        Are you a gun owner?
Is that to difficult a question for you to understand?

      • conservative79

        I have access to guns.

      • Adam Kadmon

        Do you OWN a gun?
Undoubtedly the answer is no. Why else would you dance around the subject?

      • conservative79

Wow, so in depth, lol. Just like this idiot administration breaking laws… moron. The government will be the outlaws.

        I didn’t figure you’d understand. Once again.

      • Adam Kadmon

You didn’t even use the word ‘outlaw’ untill I brought it into the conversation.
The simple fact is that even with our second amendment freedom to own firearms, we as individuals have no way to use those arms to stand aginst the military might of the U.S. government.

      • conservative79

Outlaws break the law. Not really that hard to understand where I was going with that.

      • Adam Kadmon

        conservative79 Joe_the_Troll • 4 days ago
when guns are banned by the government, only government will have guns. That didn’t work out too well for the Jews in Germany did it?

Nothing there about outlaws. You can’t even remember your own words.

      • conservative79

You are not smart at all.

You said… “You didn’t even use the word ‘outlaw’ untill I brought it into the conversation.” after I said “when guns are banned by the government, only government will have guns.” then said “….Just like this idiot administration breaking laws… moron. The government will be the outlaws”

Then for some reason you thought it worthwhile to say you were the one to bring up the word outlaw. ol Durrr. Are you really ignorant?

      • Adam Kadmon

I posted your original statement. You didn’t mention outlaws.

      • Judith_Priest

Hitler didn’t ban guns, you Foxtard.

      • conservative79

You might want to check your history libtard. Oh, and he just burned millions of Jews. But you’re ok with that, obamatard.

      • conservative79

He just took them, oh, and he just burned millions of Jews. But you’re ok with that, obamatard.

      • Joe_the_Troll

It’s in no danger of happening here. It’s just what you pretend so that you can dodge the need for an adult discussion of the problem.

      • conservative79

        Troll… that’s a true name for you

      • Joe_the_Troll

In other words, you aren’t able to beat my argument and aren’t mature enough to be quiet, so you have to call me names. Go get your binkie, fool.

      • conservative79

What argument did you ever make? LOL

The false labeling by Adam and then you, the troll, show up and have nothing.

      • conservative79

A cop out, lol. You truly are a troll and back post.

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

LOL, I’m not dense enough to block-vote either side, but this is beyond ludicrous. Liberals never even touched a gun!

      • conservative79

You’re dense enough to make that stupid claim. Liberals have been the ones shooting people in the massacres. Oh right, you’re not bright enough to read or watch news.

      • Adam Kadmon

What ‘massacres’ are you talking about?
        D Roof was a conservative.
Terry Nichols and Timothy McVeigh were both conservatives, they were responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing, the largest act of domestic terrorism in US history.

      • conservative79

Wow, you are a liar, that or retarded. Typical hating libtard. McVeigh was anti government. Nichols was also anti government.

      • Adam Kadmon

Lots of right wing groups are anti government.
There are plenty of anti government conservative groups.
The Republican party is openly for the smallest government possible.
I am not a liberal. I dislike liberal politics as much as I dislike conservative politics.

      • conservative79

        Conservative is government. Durr.

      • Adam Kadmon

        You’re an idiot.
Republicans are the party of small government. Democrats are the party of big government. ‘conservative is government

      • conservative79

You’re a joke. You say you’re not a liberal yet you cling to their ideology. You continue to lie. You, being dense, like most liberals, have to make up something out of thin air though.

      • Adam Kadmon

The only ‘liberal ideology’ you and I have ever discussed is gay marriage. While it is true that I believe that homosexuals have the same right to get married as heterosexuals do, that doesn’t make me a liberal.
There is a long list of things liberals believe in that I don’t.
I don’t donate money to liberal causes.
I look at each and every issue on an individual basis.
I make up my own mind, I don’t look to MSNBC or Fox News for my opinions.
In your mind anyone who disagrees with you is automatically a liberal. That isn’t always the case. I’m sure there are plenty of conservatives who have had disagreements with you in the past.

      • conservative79

        Well that is true.

      • conservative79

        Reading Foxnews? lol

Thanks for backing my point that you’re not bright enough.

      • Never. Do you have an example?

      • conservative79

Talking about the truth of homosexuality as a sin… watch out! The libs will have you head for that! The gay mafia will have riots and shut down a business because it’s Christian and won’t do gay weddings. They are obeying God’s truth… man for woman.

      • Yes.

I’m not sure anything Glen Beck has had to say ever mattered.

    • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

What matters is when too many morons watch his show, and then they vote!

      • Ethel Gates

I don’t think he can get even 10 to do it. They might lose their tax exempt status. Pastor is a glorified name for a leach.

      • conservative79

        Like when you obamatards vote?

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

I don’t block-vote either extreme, but only you conservatives are capable murdering intelligent dialogue like so many mentally-challenged children.
As for Obama, if you don’t like the working middle class then he’s the best friend a social conservative ever had.

      • conservative79

You haven’t been paying attention to what is going on. You libs cut off debate and throw tantrums about conservatives doing it. LOL Obama’s done nothing but take the US down the crapper. Unemployment is at an all time high. The US debt is at an all time high.

Anything else you want to lie about?

    • conservative79

Not sure anything you say matters. What’s your point?

      • Joshua Schell

My point is your question doesn’t matter.

  • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

Martyr-dumb in Christianity’s early past is just one more Christian myth. Many such hot-for-death douchebags have issued that threat from the pulpit since they lost the culture war which was led by Joseph McCarthy, and none have followed through. But if 10,000 stupid preachers stopped blowing their hot air for real all at once, then I would call it a good start.

    • conservative79

So facts are myth? You’re a bright one… and by that I mean not.

      • Mudhammutt (DaveUcannotta)

Thanks for clarifying gow you don’t know dick about actual history.

      • conservative79

says the one who thinks facts are myth. No wonder you’re such a moron.

That idiot cut that Beck program and put to where he made it look like he was saying something totally different. I heard the program or saw it and I know there is more in there than that.

      • Feel free to leave your comments as such on the page directly, and don’t forget to link to video elaborating your point. Discussing it here will bear no fruit.

I don’t know what date it was from but I’m saying he said totally different than what that idiot led you to “think” he said. I imagine nothing bears fruit with you.

      • On this network, correct. I don’t argue on Disqus … it is entirely pointless.

God did not create gays… sin did. God created man for woman. Have you ever read the Bible. Ever read about Soddom and Gomorrah? Ever read in the NT about it? I think you need to get a clue.

  • Mr.good News

I don’t buy for one minute that these selfish pricks would die for anyone or anything.

  • Jess Cost

You know that eating shellfish and bearing false witness are sins too, right? I don’t see y’all preparing to sink any shrimp boats or calling out every freakin lying Republican.

    • conservative79

Wow, still think we live in the old testament there atheist?

      • Adam Kadmon

She knows more about the Bible than you do, obviously.
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

Actually she doesn’t otherwise she would know that was from the ot. Keep that head in the sand.

      • Adam Kadmon

Everybody knows that the 10 Commandments come from the Old Testament.
She never said she was quoting the New Testament.
We all know where you keep your head, and I know that the sand is cleaner and doesn’t smell half as bad.

      • conservative79

You’re pretty dumb. Not eating shellfish was a levitical law specific to the levites. That’s the ot. Durrr.

I know you keep your head up your butt, perhaps another atheist ‘ s butt.

      • Adam Kadmon

The ban on homosexuality is also in Leviticus, that was the point she was trying to make.

      • conservative79

        Actually, no, it wasn’t, tonto.

      • Adam Kadmon

        You are an idiot.
Please, show me where the anti homosexuality passages are, since you claim that they aren’t in Leviticus.
Oh, I forgot, you don’t back up your absurd claims with facts.

      • conservative79

      • conservative79

you’re an idiot who doesn’t have facts, tonto

      • Adam Kadmon

Your last post must have been caught by a spam filter for being to long. I got it in my email, but I don’t see it here.
In the one instance you sighted that was Jesus, and not one of his followers, he wad talking about the sinfulness of divorce, not homosexuality.
You didn’t have time to read it anyway, you just did a quick copy paste.
There is no mention of homosexuality in any of the Gospels.

      • conservative79

You’re getting to be a bore. All those passages were on homosexuality.

      • Adam Kadmon

apparently you don’t know the difference between the New Testament and the Gospels

      • Adam Kadmon

        Leviticus 20:13New Living Translation (NLT)

13 “If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense.

        You said this wasn’t there.
Please, keep showing us all how well you know the Bible. I think we could all use a good laugh.

      • conservative79

You keep thinking we are Levites living under Levitical law. Durrr.

      • Adam Kadmon

        No, I don’t.
The Old Testament was written for and by the Jews. Jesus was a Jew.
Also, you said there was nothing in Leviticus about homosexuality, and there is. You are an idiot.

      • conservative79

No, I never said, lol. Wow, you are a liar.

      • Adam Kadmon

apparently you’re nothing more than an idiot that can’t read, can’t write, and you can’t remember what you said even when it’s right in front of you.
        Pathetic.

      • conservative79

What’s pathetic is you lie about what is right in front of you. You’re nothing more than an idiot who lies.

      • Adam Kadmon

Leviticus 1:2 states that the law is for all the tribes of Israel, not just the tribe of Levi.
Of course you wouldn’t know that, because you have never read it.

      • conservative79

Wow that’s a good comeback. Did you think of that one all night long? I’ve read read and studied and took classes… more than you’ll ever do atheist.

Looks like you think we still live in the Old Testament

      • Adam Kadmon

Technically speaking, I am still an Ordained Minister.
I have read the Gospels from the pulpit.
You must have fallen asleep during those ‘classes’, because you have proven you know nothing about the Bible or Jesus.

      • conservative79

Being ordained doesn’t mean squat. False preachers are abundant.

      • Adam Kadmon

This is the United States of America, and freedom of religion is protected in the First Amendment.
You have the right to believe any religion is false. There are many people in this country who identify as Christian who believe your religion is false.
They have the right to believe what they want, and you have the right to believe what you want.
        It’s the American Way.

      • Adam Kadmon

Jesus was a Jew, and all his teachings were based on the ‘ot’, as you put it.
Jesus would have called it Torah, the holy scripture, given to the Israelites by Moses.
Apparently the beliefs of Jesus mean nothing to you.

      • conservative79

What does a law God gave the Levites have to do with Jesus dimwit? It’s obvious that you are clueless on any given thing.

      • Adam Kadmon

The law was given to all the tribes of Israel, not just the Levites.
Jesus was a Jew, and all his teachings are based on the Torah (Old Testament).

      • conservative79

They are based on the spirit behind the law. Didn’t you learn anything in your schooling?

      • Adam Kadmon

All of the authors of the Bible were Jewish. Most biblical scholars believe that Luke was Jewish.
Christianity was part of Judaism for at least the first hundred years after Jesus death, and for possibly as long as 300 years after his death, when the Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity.

      • conservative79

Once again proving you don’t anything. Not all the authors were Jewish. Luke was a Gentile. You do understand w that means, right? He also wrote Acts. Job, Ruth weren’t Jewish.

      • Adam Kadmon

As I said before, most biblical scholars believe Luke was Jewish. It was a common misconception in the past that Luke was a Gentile.
There is still some debate as to whether Luke was born Jewish or converted to Judaism at a later time.
Luke is best known as the author of the Gospel according to Luke, and the Acts of the Apostles. Most biblical scholars now believe he was also the author of Hebrews.

      • Jess Cost

You do when it suits you. IF YOU ONLY LIVED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, HOMOSEXUALS WOULDN’T BOTHER YOU, ZEALOT!!! AND if I remember my bible studies correctly wasn’t it that Jesus fella that said “whoever does the will of my Father who is in Heaven, he is my brother and sister, and my mother.” What if anything is the “will of my Father” than the Old Testament??

      • conservative79

Why wouldn’t homosexuality bother me when 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says that homosexuals have been changed by Christ, Romans 1:18-32 deals with female homosexuality and says it’s a sin still, etc etc etc? I mean, you really have no idea. The will of the Father is to be Holy and Jesus said to be ye Holy for I am Holy.

        Your post fails miserably.

      • Jess Cost

You all do when it suits you. Homosexuality being the perfect example. And it’s really no wonder after all…..wasn’t it that Jesus fella that said “whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother and my sister and mother”? What, if anything, is the “will of the Father” other than the Old Testament? Go learn your own religion’s holy books before you trifle with others, zealot.

      • conservative79

Go learn anything about the bible, like we live in the NT. The will of the Father is to follow Jesus.

      • Adam Kadmon

You just mentioned that Jesus quoted the Old Testament in Matthew 19. Genesis 1:27, Moses’ definition of marriage.
Why is Jesus quoting the Old Testament if we are supposed to live in the New Testament?
in fact, why are you quoting the Old Testament, when you said it has no bearing on our lives today.
You really need to try to get your facts straight.
Stop mindlessly quoting websites like http://www.witnessfortheworld.org/homont.html and actually read the Bible for yourself.

      • Jess Cost

Which version shall I learn from? After all, there’s several versions of the bible. It was nothing more than quite a few moldy scrolls of Jewish Law and various sheep-herder stories until 379 AD. When a PAGAN king got everybody together at the First Council of Nicaea and decided everything from holy days to Jesus’ divinity. But I’m quite sure you’re allergic to static history and such. History is just Satan’s tool for domination. Lol.

  • QB59

    10,000 less wingnuts? Well, it’s a start.

    • conservative79

      let’s start with you

Hey CON…you realize you made a left turn to a PROGRESSIVE website. Try Brietbart or Red State for like minded rightwing nutbags of your ilk. Trolling doesn’t seem to be your forte. Of course anyone who listens to Glenn Beck can’t be very smart…and you are exhibit A in proving my point.

      • conservative79

Being called not smart by someone of your ilk doesn’t hold water. ..

      • QB59

You just proved my point again…troll. LOL!!!

      • conservative79

Thanks for providing evidence of you being the typical brainless libtard. I got on here to see the mindless obamazombie drive regularly regurgitated. Once again, being called not smart by someone of your ilk doesn’t hold water.

      • conservative79

The only trolls are you hateful libs. You riots and bash and march and hate anyone who has an opposing view. But you keep your head up your butt and live in the liberal land of oppression.

      • QB59

        Still trolling. What a loser.

  • TruthBtold

    Here’s what I’m happy about:
In 20-30 years when all this partisan BS the GOP has been espousing is over and done with, and we have a govt that protects all people, of all types, and provides a basic minimum of quality of life to them, history will look back and judge the Beck’s, the Limbaugh’s, the Hannity’s, and there will be a mountain of documentation to show how hateful these people really are.

Go look back at cases concerning segregation and slavery, read the comments of the those that opposed banning slavery, or integration, they look exactly like this – proclaiming “religion says we can’t do this!” And that “slavery is gods will”, that “we shouldn’t mix the races because God spit them up.” And all these assholes will go down as the Pro-Salvery leaders of our generation, and America will never forget the period of time when a minority of our country rebelled against the first black president, and the hateful speech in which they used to mislead 40% of the country.

    • Dozer

By “Protects all people” I assume you mean “all people that agree with you”. Its amazing how hypocrisy only goes one way.

      • Judith_Priest

No. We’re not ripping Marriage away from people who do not agree with us.

        YOUR side is doing that.
Nothing about legalizing gay marriage harms anyone’s Straight Marriage in ANY way!

        That’s just a persecution fantasy.

      • Dozer

It is now a constitutionally protected right. Which means if a church offers its pastor or facilities to the general public but does not support gay marriage it can be sued. Just like the baker, the florist, the photographer. The court has opened the door to forcing the church to openly defy God’s law. But I assume that since you are so strongly for protecting people’s rights you are totally fine with Churches and photographers and bakers and florists saying no to gay marriage ceremonies, right? Or does your tolerance apply only to people you agree with?

      • Paula Pearson

Have them post that they are not willing to serve the gay community and the money will go elsewhere. It is when you are willing to take the money, then deny the service on “religious” reasons that you get sued!

      • Dozer

Right… like the pizza place in Indiana that people were threatening to burn down and prank calling because even though they have NEVER been asked to cater any type of wedding they said they would not feel comfortable catering a gay wedding. Its just amazing to me how the #loveislove crowd and the tolerant left is filled with so much hatred. There are a few idiot pastors saying they will burn themselves to death if gay marriage passes and the tolerant left is offering matched and bullets and spewing their “tolerant” hatred everywhere.

      • Elegy Mills

Allow me to play the world’s smallest violin for the bigoted discriminatory assholes being discriminated against. Waaah. Woe is you. You poor, poor things. You’re all against political correctness but when suddenly you’re the ones being insulted and mocked and openly discriminated against for discriminating others, suddenly you want the government to come rushing over to come protect your poor precious little feelings. And then when it doesn’t, you whine and complain about “hypocrisy.”
You wanna be a bigoted asshole? Then prepare to be publicly shamed for it. That’s the world we live in now. You don’t like it? Try getting your head out of your ass and understanding WHY you and your scum-sucking ilk are no longer being tolerated.
Tolerance for gays is given because they’ve done nothing wrong. Tolerance for assholes is not given because they’ve done nothing to deserve it.

      • conservative79

The only bigots are you people cramming your “acceptance” down everyone’s throats. Poor poor things. Not everyone wants to accept being a queer is ok. And you idiots always use the word bigiot incorrectly, it’s hilarious. Of course, you hijack everything else to mean something else so why not that? lol The only intolerance is coming from you!

      • Adam Kadmon

You use the word “queer” freely, and claim you aren’t a bigot.

        Matthew 7:1-3King James Version (KJV)
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

      • conservative79

Actually you should keep going with the whole chapter, tonto. It’s on how to judge. lol Bigot.

      • Craig

Operating a place of business does not carry First Amendment protections. Ministers, in the exercise of their vocation, DO have First Amendment protections and therefore can’t be compelled to conduct a rite contrary to their belief.

      • Adam Kadmon

        Exactly! Thank you.
Catholic priests don’t have to marry non Catholics, and rabbis don’t have to marry non Jews, and no religious official has to marry anyone they feel doesn’t conform to the edicts of their religion . This idea of Christian persecution is pure nonsense.

      • conservative79

Businesses do as well… they can say they refuse service to whomever they want.

      • Craig

Businesses can not refuse service to whomever they want. Can an apartment building refuse to rent to jews? Can an accounting firm refuse to hire women? No and no. BUT – ministers can refuse to provide pastoral care or conduct rites for whatever reason they choose because THEY DO have 1st Amendment protections.

      • conservative79

Durrr… The federal law does not prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation, so gays are not a protected group under the federal law. I got this from legalzoom, as well as this: you cannot deny service to someone because of his or her race, color, religion, national origin or disability.

      • Adam Kadmon

You do realize that churches are not forced to marry anyone who walks through their doors, don’t you? Most churches only marry people who are members of their congregation, and will sometimes even refuse to marry members of their congregation, if they feel they aren’t ready for marriage.

      • No it doesn’t.

      • Adam Kadmon

religious organizations are still protected under the First Amendment. You can’t sue a rabbi for not marrying a Christian couple, and you won’t be able to sue any clergyman for not marrying gay people, if that is against their religious beliefs.

    • Jesse

Hey ignorant libs guess what Democrats are the party of the KKK and the civil war. Do some damn research and get your history straight. Oh and btw keep hoping for your mighty all powerful government you fools look at Democrat ran cities they are riddled with crime and poverty! Brand new gov homes stripped of everything a week after built and sold while they atay in run down shacks. Most Republicans don’t give 2 shits if you get married but its a decision for the people of that state to vote on. Socialism is the base line for the Nazi socialist party so good luck once you’ve succeeded in crushing freedom and liberty. Open your eyes republicans ended segregation and supported civil rights while guess who filibustered them your KKK member DEMOCRATS YOU IGNORANT SHITS WAKE UP AND GET YOUR NEWS SOMEWHERE OTHER THE GOVERNMENT OWNED MEDIA AND STUDY SOME HISTORY YOUR BEING SOLD A LIE FOR A POWER GRAB.

That is not what he said. He wants us to stand up for Gay rights. Especially in the Middle east where homosexuals are stoned to death but religious fanatics and terrorists. He was trying to point out the injustice of our petty arguments of equality in America when horrific unmentionable things are happening to innocent people in other countries. These are God’s children just as much as the one’s here in America. No one deserves to die simply because they are homosexual and Beck is asking us to look past our dividers here in the US and conquer a greater injustice. Then and only then will America truly be the shining city on a hill. But we have got to look past the politics of errors that has failed us for over a decade. The current state of America is is selfish, divided and petty. We revel in tearing each other down in the court of public opinion when people are being burned alive and when a mother has to watch her children murdered in cold blood by ISIS because they are Christians. Where a family stones their own child because he is Gay, or where honor killings are the norm. In the middle east the Christian is just as horrible as the Homosexual and we need to join together and say it is wrong.

    • How is being gay horrible?

      • conservative79

Besides spreading disease, making kids – if there are any – be in a terrible situation, ruining God’s purpose of creation, etc?

      • I dont spread disease and I dont want kids. Didn’t know you talked with the Creator of Galaxies about its purpose.

      • conservative79

        ever read the bible? durr

      • Yes, which is part of the reason why I’m not a Christian today. Bible wasn’t written by any God; it was written by Bronze Age people who didn’t know what we 21st century people know today. People projected their fears, ignorance and prejudice upon the Creator of Galaxies.

      • conservative79

So you’ve never read the Bible, got it

      • Quit assuming things about people you dont know.

      • conservative79

        Quit lying about God’s Word

      • News flash, your Bible isn’t the word of any god.

      • conservative79

        God appreciates the laugh.

      • conservative79

So you’ve never read the Bible. Got it.

      • I haven’t spread any disease. I dont want kids. How could I ruin any god’s purpose?

Are you a bit paranoid, or is it from not knowing anything about gay people except from generalisations and stereotypes?

    • Denise F

What???? He wants to stand up for gay rights??? Ummm no thanks. Our LGBT community doesn’t need his help!

    • James Garman

What???? If that is what he meant, why didn’t he say that. Answer because he didn’t mean that. He is mad because his right wing hate machine is losing in the courts….not court of public opinion where it has long since lost….but in the real court.

If the man says he wants pastors to die to keep us form having equality I take him at his word.

men having sex with men, women to women… wow! Jesus is coming tomorrow….disgusting !!!!

      • allrollingwolf

So what, is jesus going to kill them all? Do you know anything about jesus, you fraud? He would embrace them all with open arms, and walk past you without looking into your hateful eyes.

That’s 10,000 with balls Glenn, and a good start. How about you walking through that wall of fire? Sooner, rather than later.

  • Why die for something which doesn’t affect you? Stop the over-emotionalism, Beck. Real men died at Normandy and Iwo Jima. You cockless bastards disgrace yourselves.

You cowards only prove what I’ve been saying: American Evangelical Fundamentalist Christianity is based upon fear, emotional manipulation, extortion and injustice. You lot don’t impress me and you don’t bloody fecking scare me. Grow the hell up and leave people alone! You live your own lives. Gay marriage isn’t affecting you.

Don’t like it? Then don’t marry someone of your same gender. Simple as that.

    • conservative79

And you prove what I’ve been saying all along, you people are just retarded and hateful.

      • I am not ‘you people’. I speak for myself.

      • conservative79

if you aren’t ‘you people’ why did you say exactly what the ‘you people’ say? lol You speak for yourself yet regurgitate the rhetoric spewed by their side word for word. Funny!

      • Adam Kadmon

You do realize that you are spewing the same right wing rhetoric that’s found on Fox News, don’t you?
All you seem capable of doing is regurgitating right wing talking points. It’s as if you’re not capable of original thought.
        Funny.

      • conservative79

I am? I watch it and haven’t heard anything about this. Oh, you don’t and “think” you know what they say. That’s funny, you’re the people caught in group think mentality.

      • Adam Kadmon

I told you before, multiple times now, I am not a liberal.
People don’t have to be liberals to disagree with you.
I said you are incapable of independent thought, I didn’t say that I don’t watch Fox News.
By the way, Glenn Beck isn’t on Fox anymore, which is why you didn’t see it on Fox News, obviously.

      • conservative79

You spew their rhetoric and think just like one. You might as well be one. Ironic about independent thought coming from the person ho has group think mentality.

      • Adam Kadmon

We are discussing a single issue. You know my thoughts on this one single issue.
I often publicly disagree with liberals, conservatives, atheists, Christians, and anyone else that I disagree with on any topic.
It just happens that in this case I believe that LGBTQ people should have the same rights and protections afforded to every other American.
I have been called a conservativeby lliberals I disagree with on many occasions.

      • You do the same. So? Why are 10K pastors willing to die over something which doesn’t affect them, yet I dont see any of these people willing to die to fight against IS, or child abuse or police brutality.

      • conservative79

It does affect them or do you not pay attention? They are being forced by your hateful gays to do weddings or they get mob attacked or threats of being thrown in jail. What do you think this entire article is about or do you not even pay attention to what’s going on?

      • Look, I’m a Belgian living in Canada. Both countries have had legal equal marriage for at least 10 years. You can NOT force a minister, priest, rabbit, imam, or any other clergy to marriage a same-sex couple.

Why are some Americans so fearful? Why dont you read and learn about what happens in other countries with these laws. If someone attacks a priest, then put their arse in jail. Or do you not defend your Constitution?

      • I could say the same about you.

      • conservative79

Wow, such an in depth response full of ineptitude

      • You will disagree and debate whatever I say. I shant reply to you again, what’s the use? Not going to feed your ego.

      • conservative79

Yet another brilliant reply. You will disagree with me on anything I say.

      • Right, because if someone disagrees with you, they are automatically ‘retarded’ and hateful. * rolls eyes *

      • conservative79

According to the liberals, yes… and the gays

      • LOL, I’m no Liberal and we LGBT aren’t the Borg.

    • Edward R.

      per·vert
Alter (something) from its original course, meaning, or state to a distortion or corruption of what was first intended.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexual_behavior_in_animals

If homosexuality is observed in nature by other species, would it not be correct to infer that it is part of a natural process? I.e. that homosexuality is in fact how they were intended to be from their inception?

      • Evan Vernon Giles

        Nailed it right there

      • conservative79

        That was retarded. Dictionary.com says…

        Pervert

        Noun

        10.
a person who practices sexual perversion.
        11.
Pathology. a person affected with perversion.
        12.
a person who has been perverted, especially to a religious belief regarded as erroneous.

Homosexuality is not observed by nature by other kinds of animals. That’s just stupid, but look at everything you’ve written so far. Evan said Edward nailed it, lol. Durrrr.

      • Edward R.

“Homosexuality is not observed by nature by other kinds of animals.”

Did you bother to click the link I posted? If so, you would have realized how demonstrably false your assertion is.

Also, using the word you’re attempting to define in it’s definition does little to convey the meaning.

      • conservative79

Again that was just all kinds of stupid. No assertion on my part. When my female dog is in heat, she humps whatever, the other dog, a leg, whatever. It’s called hormones. Get a clue, an education on human biological functions vs animal biological functions.

Oh right, to you idiots, words don’t mean anything anymore. That’s why you don’t like the definition of what a pervert is.

      • Edward R.

Haha, I honestly can’t tell if you’re being sincere or simply attempting to troll. Again, I refer you to the article I posted in my original comment.. To make it simple, here’s an excerpt:

“Bonobos, which have a matriarchal society, unusual among apes, are a fully bisexual species—both males and females engage in heterosexual and homosexual behavior, being noted for female-female homosexuality in particular. Roughly 60% of all bonobo sexual activity occurs between two or more females. While the homosexual bonding system in bonobos represents the highest frequency of homosexuality known in any species, homosexuality has been reported for all great apes (a group which includes humans), as well as a number of other primate species”

Your _assertion_ that homosexual behavior (this includes sexual activity, affection, courtship, pair bonding, and parenting) is not found elsewhere in the animal kingdom is (I repeat) demonstrably false. We have _observed_ it. If you can’t be bothered to read a simple article, I’m not certain that this conversation can continue. You seem completely unwilling to examine the evidence presented.

As for the definition thing… what good does defining pervert as “a person who practices sexual perversion”? All that does is kick the can, now what does perversion mean?

        per·ver·sion

The alteration of something from its original course, meaning, or state to a distortion or corruption of what was first intended.

It’s not that I didn’t like what you said was the definition of pervert was, I merely pointed out that your definition had no explanatory usefulness.

      • conservative79

Wow, again, no assertion, that was all kinds of stupid.

All you did was back my post.

      • Edward R.

        as·ser·tion
A confident and forceful statement of fact or belief.

“Homosexuality is not observed by nature by other kinds of animals.”

How is that not a confident statement of your belief?

      • conservative79

I was thinking of assumption, my apologies Edward.

      • Edward R.

No problem, I thought you might be thinking of a different word, hence the provided definition :)

  • DJ

Have at it fellas! It is time for a real christian in those pulpits.

    • Edward R.

Saying that those who oppose gay marriage are not “real Christians” is a fallacious argument known as the No True Scotsman (https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/no-true-scotsman). If they define themselves as Christian, then they are, regardless of what views they may hold. The problem with Christianity, and all other religions for that matter, is that it is entirely up to personal interpretation. That is why the same verses can be used to both argue for and against the same cause.

      • DJ

Yes unfortunately any point of view can be supported by a different part of the good book. An eye for an eye vs turn the other cheek for example. I am of the opinion, and I am entitled to my own opinion, that anybody that doesn’t under stand what “love your neighbor” is all about isn’t a very good Christian. I don’t remember a codicil to that about having to love what neighbor does. That is far too easy. It is far harder to love them despite what they do. All I’m saying is practice what you preach or move aside for those that are willing to do so.

      • Edward R.

To be fair though, that person who disagrees with you, is entitled to their opinion as well and would argue that it is you who isn’t a very good Christian. Me being an impartial observer, what objective methodology can I employ to determine who is correct in their assessment?

What I am hearing is lot of Christians are tired of being walked on. And or now ready to resist what “Society” says is ok, They are not afraid of persecution and Will speak against it no matter if people agree with it or not. Exercising freedom of speech based on their belief that GOD said its wrong and not caring what “Society” wants to do to them for speaking against it.

they all sound like isis to me. there values are much more closely aligned with the other religious extremists out there. its the same people who fought against racial mixing in the 60’s who are at it again. when the gay marriage reality of the 21 st century blows over these same hateful people will jump on board the next persecution bandwagon….idiots!

  • not one of them will commit suicide, mark my words…This is nothing more than simple theatrics in an attempt to get their message out .
