5 Ben Carson Quotes Proving Why He’s Too Crazy To Be President

ben-carsonWell, another clown has joined the circus as former Fox News contributor Ben Carson just officially announced that he’s running for president. Unlike Ted Cruz or Rand Paul, Carson wasn’t a sure bet to enter the race, but when he cut ties with Fox News a while back it was a good sign that he was seriously considering running.

But who are we kidding? Carson stands absolutely zero chance at becoming president. If the GOP selected Carson as their candidate, and Democrats picked a rock – we’d be swearing in our nation’s first inanimate object as Commander-in-Chief.

To show you just how cuckoo this guy is, I thought I’d list five quotes from the newly minted GOP candidate to prove why he’s too crazy to become president:

1. “You know Obamacare is really I think the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery. And it is in a way, it is slavery in a way, because it is making all of us subservient to the government, and it was never about health care. It was about control.” – 2013 at the Values Voter Summit

2. “Well, my thoughts are that marriage is between a man and a woman. It’s a well-established, fundamental pillar of society and no group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality. It doesn’t matter what they are. They don’t get to change the definition.” – 2013 on Fox News’ Hannity

3. “There comes a time when people with values simply have to stand up. Think about Nazi Germany. Most of those people did not believe in what Hitler was doing. But did they speak up? Did they stand up for what they believe in? They did not, and you saw what happened.” – Carson comparing Democrats and those who voted for President Obama to Nazis.

4. “Because 9/11 is an isolated incident. Things that are isolated issues as opposed to things that fundamentally change the United Sates of America and shift power from the people to the government. That is a huge shift. You have to take a long-term look at something that fundamentally changes the power structure of America.” – Carson claiming that “Obamacare” is worse than 9/11

5. “A lot of people who go into prison straight, and when they come out they’re gay.” – CNN interview on March 4, 2015

I could have listed plenty more, but I think I’ve made my point. I’ll give him this much – he is unique in that he hasn’t been confined by any office to which he was elected, so his “crazy” has been shown off in its purest form.

Though like I said earlier, Carson stands absolutely no chance. Why he’s running I haven’t any idea, but there’s one thing that I can say for certain – he’s going to fit right in with these other GOP candidates. This ever-growing Republican field of presidential hopefuls is shaping up to be the most ridiculous grouping of individuals our nation has ever seen. Personally, I can’t wait to see some of these clowns actually start debating each other. Get the popcorn ready, we’re in for a long ride.

He doesn’t even have to get the nomination. Just acting like he’s running can be pretty lucrative.

    • Chuck_Key

Lucrative? He’s *rich*…but NOT like the Obamas or Clintons. He and his wife Candy have set up a scholarship fund and give generously to help those raised in the ghetto as Carson was. That’s one thing the leftstream media leave out: Carson’s family was *dirt poor* but that black man became a top neurosurgeon…the most respected in history. This galls whiney liberals.

      • polliwogg

Yeah, his family was poor. Mama relied on welfare, food stamps, section eight and Michigan medicare to care for her kids. Now, Benny Ha-Ha wants to eliminate what helped him to succeed. “Hey, I got mine, fuck the rest of ’em”.

      • Flat Banana

Read his book and you may understand instead of judging from the single sentence you may have read somewhere else.

      • drock10

Polli, the typical intolerant uniformed liberal trope who just listens to his/her liberal msm brainwashing themselves to believe in idiocy so can come on comment boards to prove to the world how brain dead they really are. Thanks Polli for holding up the stereotype of “brain dead, intolerant liberal”.

      • polliwogg

What’s the matter? Truth hurt? His mother relied on all kinds of public assistance during his formative years. He benefitted from affirmative action for both college and medical school. He admits it. Now that he’s climbed to the top, he wants to pull up the ladder so no one else can.

      • John L. Battey

On what evidence do you base your conclusion “Now that he’s climbed to the top, he wants to pull up the ladder so no one else can.”?

      • Jennifer Sheppard

why would that truth hurt? again educate yourself about this man who helps families just like his that are in poverty, he doesn’t pull up the ladder he helps others climb it. I can’t believe how many ignorant uneducated people there are here. What are you jealous your family didn’t do whatever was necessary to help you become a successful human being? so very sad

      • rmoz504

Not true. Wants people to use it the way it was set up. Helping hand, not life style!!!!

      • Jeremy Collins

I would like to say that I read his autobiography, so I know what I am saying.

Ben Carson’s mother worked very hard to raise her two boys after her cheating husband left her. She often worked two or three jobs just to make ends meet. But sometimes even that was not enough, so she was forced to take food stamps and hated it. She wished she could take care of herself and her sons but she needed governemnt assistance because she could not get jobs that paid well enough.

It is for people like this that welfare should be. Not those who are lazy and do not wish to get a job so they go on welfare, and with that point agree with Ben Carson. Welfare should be for those who cannot help themselves, not for those who are too lazy to help themselves.

        Blessings,
        Jeremy

      • KCP

Now that’s funny. Obviously only Carson’s mother worked hard to raise her family and now that he’s got his, screw the rest that may need a little help. Typical Republican, I’ts all about me.

      • Jeremy Collins

        Greetings KCP,
Before I begin I would like to ask if you read my entire comment? It just seems from your response that you either didn’t read part of it or ignored the parts you did not like, since my original comment already answers all of the points you brought up.

Ben Carson does not want to completely eliminate welfare, he wants to force off of it those who do not need it. Many people are on welfare because they are too lazy do get a job, and this is destroying our once great country. We need these people to get off of welfare and actually get a job to be a productive citizen of America. True, there are many people who generally need welfare (the Carson family was once one of them), and they should get it if our country is financially able to provide to to them. But those who abuse the system should not be able to get free money because they are lazy, because the Democrats use welfare to buy people’s vote.

I also find it ironic that you said “I[t’s] all about me.” when describing Carson. He is probably the least selfish of all of the current candidates from either side; and if he is not the least selfish, he is close to the top of that list. He is a candidate that actually genuinely cares about the American people, unlike most Democrat candidates we see anymore.

        Blessings,
        Jeremy

      • tman418

She often worked two or three jobs just to make ends meet. But sometimes
even that was not enough, so she was forced to take food stamps and
        hated it.

She probably wouldn’t have needed food stamps if those jobs paid well enough. And possibly could have lived off of just one job.

Does he support raising the minimum wage?

      • Jeremy Collins

Part of what made it hard for her was that she had a third grade education. I’m sure paying bills was hard if she was trying to live off of low-paying jobs such as house cleaning.

I am not sure what his opinion is on raising the minimum wage. As he is a very intelligent man, I would guess that he is for raising it little, if at all. (Raising it much like so many people want to do would be very harmful to our economy. On top of that, why should people working at McDonald’s or Walmart make more than our troops risking their lives in combat?)

      • tman418

No one is saying that they should make more than troops. But if the annual salary of full-time troops is less than what somebody would make 40hrs a week at $15/hr, then that salary (for a FULL-TIME troop) is much too low.

Raising wages at the bottom will raise wages for many other people too.

At least the troop will have plenty of benefits, which is what many minimum wage earners are currently lacking (paid time off, pension/retirement account, etc).

If we want to have a functioning economy, there must be plenty of people with enough money to spend. And we can go down one of 3 paths:

#1. We keep the minimum wage where it is. Tax-payers support them through welfare programs.

#2. We make the minimum wage a living wage, and therefore heavily reduce the dependence on welfare.

#2. We keep the minimum wage where it is, end welfare, and choose to be content stepping over lepers on the sidewalk.

      • Jeremy Collins

I am not against raising minimum wage, I am against being stupid when it comes to raising minimum wage. Minimum wage should be raised in accordance with inflation so that the purchasing power of your wage remains the same.

Raising minimum wage a lot will hurt our economy greatly and is a very foolish idea.

The best solution to this problem is to raise the number of jobs in America.

      • tman418

Australia’s minimum wage is $16.50/hr, and their unemployment rate has been lower than ours for quite a few years now. And the cost of a Big Mac is virtually identical.

      • Jeremy Collins

They also have a very different economy than us as they are not America. Just because it will work in another country doesn’t mean it will work in America. It might. But you also cannot immediately change our minimum wage to match theirs immediately. Maybe it could work in America but it would take a while to get to that point.

      • Monique Shawling

Jeremy, if you have an argument over the radio station with Ben Carson, he might try to stab you in the stomach! Make sure you buckle your seat belt!

      • Jeremy Collins

        That wasn’t even funny.

I hope you were being sarcastic and not serious with that comment. Trying to say someone is an unfit leader because they had an anger problem decades ago is a very foolish statement. We are all fallible, sinful humans who have problems. That is why Christ came to earth, to save us from that condition and restore our relationship with God. Mocking someone for a problem they had as a teenager is immature when they clearly do not struggle with it anymore.

      • SonsofAnarchy5768

        Brain dead world…………..GO!

      • Monique Shawling

Jeremy, I would never be sarcastic when it comes to Christ or his good pal, Ben Carson. And in all seriousness, you should buckle your seat belt. Not just because Ben Carson might stab you—because it save you just like Jesus can!

      • Jeremy Collins

If you were not being sarcastic, then why would you say that? Saying that is like saying that David Wood might try to beat his father’s head with a hammer again.

      • SonsofAnarchy5768

Please, go back to your brain dead world!

      • Jeremy Collins

Any support for what you said?

      • GaBella

Even if she had used welfare, she was exactly the kind of person welfare was created to help. Many on welfare today see it as a career choice, and not as a temporary aid to use while getting their life back on track, or when they are truly unable to help themselves.

      • Brian Coons

Uh…noooo. He’s not trying to pull the ladder up on everyone else. He’s just trying to force the bottom-feeding leeches who contribute nothing to society or the system to get off their asses and become productive. What’s wrong with that?!

      • John L. Battey

Polli, his mother did what she had to do and all the while made sure that her children wouldn’t have to do the same thing. She set them free from the Liberal Left Democratic Masters.

      • mmmjv

Is that what you call it when one of your does it? How about today’s mom in the ghetto who’s on welfare and foods tamps etc etc. Is she just “doing what she has to do”?

      • Jennifer Sheppard

of course she is and she did a tremendous job for her children against all odds. I commend her!

      • tman418

Polli, his mother did what she had to do and all the while made sure
that her children wouldn’t have to do the same thing. She set them free
from the Liberal Left Democratic Masters.

Wow. You really seem to have missed the point, and you are also way off the mark with your comment.

No one “forced” his mother to apply for those benefits. But I’m certain both his mother and Dr. Carson are thankful they were available. And given that you’re saying she “did what she had to do”, you seem to be admitting that it’s good that these programs existed and that she could use them to help herself and Ben Carson out of poverty.

      • Shawn Mason

So you are saying he is going to eliminate welfare?is it because he was poor, or because he is black? well either way you are either an elitist or a racist, you liberal just can’t stand it when someone comes from a poor background and manages to crawl their way to the top, they should know better right? He should have stayed in his place and lived on welfare for the rest of his life, how dare he…..next thing you know he will want to join your country club, we can’t have that….

      • John Nelson

Um, polliwogg was pointing out the hypocrisy. Get it now?

      • Jennifer Sheppard

no she wasn’t, she was pointing out that she is ignorant and allowing the whole panel here to see that fact

      • Jennifer Sheppard

Shawn you hit the nail right on the head! Jealousy is ugly

      • Sydalish

        You clearly lack reading comprehension.

      • mmmjv

Sounds like his mother was a taker, somebody who thought the government owed her a living

      • Jennifer Sheppard

another genius comment! Do yourself a favor and get an education and stop being mad and hateful to the people who wanted better for themselves and their children

      • mmmjv

Was it mad and hateful when Mitt Romney said it? Or all those other right wingers who call low income people “takers”?

      • rmoz504

U try taking care of 2 kids with no help. I did it with 3 and welfare is very minimal help.

      • mmmjv

We have people today taking care of kids with no help except for welfare, or food stamps. Some of them are working full time jobs. You know what conservatives call them? They call them takers.

      • Jennifer Sheppard

just look at how he succeeded even with all that against him. He needed to try harder and do better then an average kid who did not grow up in poverty. I would say that is an amazing accomplishment, which btw he gives back to poverty stricken families just like he and his family had to endure. Do some research and educate yourself before you make statements like that unless, you like to look like a fool

      • Jennifer Sheppard

Ben Carson is not trying to eliminate welfare, stop believing these morons in this forum

      • rmoz504

NO, just help those that need a helping hand, Not to live on for the rest of your life. I’ve needed it twice. Got back on my feet and left the system. It can be done .

      • Steve Robasciotti

he wants to put people off the welfare system and into the work system thats what makes a great country every body on welfare makes a third world country ,,,but it gets the votes for dumbacrates cause thats all they care about…and blacks thought they were free your still slaves to the democrat party just the way they want you to be,,,heres your check and cheese now give me my vote

      • Jeremy Collins

I hate what you said because of how true it is…America is in a sad place…

      • tman418

he wants to put people off the welfare system and into the work system

So he wants to put people off the welfare system that helped him and his family?

And how does he propose getting everybody into the “work system”? Universal education/trade schools? And are these jobs going to pay more than welfare? Are these jobs going to lift people out of poverty?

and blacks thought they were free your still slaves to the democrat party just the way they want you to be,,,heres your check and cheese now give me my vote

#1. Blacks are not the only ones eligible for welfare/food stamps.

#2. Whether anyone receives welfare or not, they can choose to vote for whomever they wish, or not vote at all.

      • Pilgrim22

Boy just twist and turn it until you reach the conclusion you want to reach.

      • Brian Coons

Obviously by your ignorant comments, there’s something logical that escapes you. Yes, it would be a challenge to get all those people off welfare and into the workforce. But staying on government handouts your entire f****** life isn’t a reasonable option. Perhaps you can’t comprehend this, but welfare programs are funded by those who DO work, and it’s not right that working taxpayers should have to foot the bill for those who are lazy and irresponsible. Staying on welfare because it pays more than some jobs is complete bulls***. That shouldn’t even be an option. And I don’t know about the rest of the country, but here in Virginia and NC, I see help wanted signs EVERYWHERE!!! So, for ANYONE to be unemployed and collecting welfare benefits is BULLS***!!! IF working one part time job doesn’t pay your bills, you go get a second or third job! You do whatever you must to make it work! But living off welfare because it’s more convenient is a crock of horse hockey! Have some damn self-respect and integrity and don’t be a burden on society!!!

      • tman418

But staying on government handouts your entire f****** life isn’t a reasonable option.

No one is legally on welfare permanently anymore since the Welfare Reform Act. But even before the WRA, those who were on it “for life” were a small minority. Today and back then, few people were on it for more than 2 years.

Perhaps you can’t comprehend this, but welfare programs are funded by
those who DO work, and it’s not right that working taxpayers should have
to foot the bill for those who are lazy and irresponsible.

Actually, you can still have a full-time job and make enough to qualify for welfare & food stamps. Many, many, many people who do work qualify for welfare. They are often making the federal minimum and/or state minimum wage.

IF working one part time job doesn’t pay your bills, you go get a second or third job! You do whatever you must to make it work!

And if you have children that you’d like to spend time with? And you had those children back when you totally had a well-paying job that you lost through no fault of your own? You give those children away, “to make it work”?

      • Brian Coons

First, I must ask, where do you get your information from? And second, even if it’s ONLY two years…that’s still too damn long. I’ve done plenty of traveling throughout the United States, and again, I see help wanted signs EVERY WHERE! I understand that many of those jobs are low paying and little to no benefits, so yes, many people need public assistance. I have no quarrel with that. But I DO have a quarrel with people who decide to stay working at dead end, low paying jobs. Or those who do NOTHING to earn a living and subsist off welfare, even if it IS “only” for 2 years. Many years ago, I found myself in a situation where I had no choice but to apply for public assistance. Because I was a single white, young male, I was made to jump thru a lot of hoops…just to get an extremely meager amount of help. Never mind that I’d been paying into the system for many years at that point…apparently I wasn’t as deserving or “qualified” as others. But, I felt like such a low life for allowing myself to get to that point, and vowed I would do WHATEVER it took to get out of it. And I did…only a few months later. I was told even then that I could only get 6 months of benefits, but depending on their circumstances, others could draw for much longer. I reenlisted in the military as soon as I could…an option that is open to many other people if they truly wanted to get off the tax payers dime. I’m sorry, I am a compassionate person, but my sympathy only goes so far. When people aren’t willing to do what’s necessary to help themselves and become self-sufficient…I have ZERO sympathy for them. And those are the people I’m specifically talking about.

      • tman418

First, I must ask, where do you get your information from?

It comes from research years ago, some of it from pre-Welfare Reform era. I did a paper on it in college. I cannot remember the exact sources now. I’m not denying that an indefinite dependence on welfare (3+ years) happened. But the majority of people were off of it in 2 years or less. I’m not quite able to find these sources now. I have an idea, but, I’m busy, with life.

Because I was a single white, young male, I was made to jump thru a lot of hoops…just to get an extremely meager amount of help. Never mind that I’d been paying into the system for many years at that point…apparently I wasn’t as deserving or “qualified” as others.

Were you actually told that because you were “single” and “white” and “male”, that you were being given extra hurdles to jump through? Or are you just assuming this? Perhaps maybe you came to realize the hoops & hurdles that EVERYONE applying for welfare needed to jump through.

I was told even then that I could only get 6 months of benefits, but depending on their circumstances, others could draw for much longer.

What were those circumstances that limited the time you could withdraw for? Oh wait, you’re gonna say “being single, white, & male”, right?

From what I know of Welfare Reform, not only did it limit the TOTAL amount of time you could receive money, but it also didn’t allow you to receive it for more than probably 6 to 8 months consecutively.

Just out of curiosity, what was the year you got welfare?

I reenlisted in the military as soon as I could…an option that is open to many other people if they truly wanted to get off the tax payers dime.

Um, you do realize that members of the military receive their salaries from tax dollars, yes? Oh, sure, yes, they are “working” for it.

And I’m not denying that they are “working” for it. But my point is this: it sucks that you had to enlist in the military to start earning a decent wage and to get yourself out of your economic/employment situation. I could care less what your political views are…that sucks. To force yourself to be an enforcer of a foreign policy and/or war that you might not agree with shouldn’t be necessary.

      • SonsofAnarchy5768

You clearly have no idea that over 100 million Americans are out of work!

      • Brian Coons

And clearly you are completely full of excrement. There are about 320 million people in the USA, so for your statement to be true…that would be about 33% unemployed. Now…if you check the info posted on the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the indicated unemployment rate is currently around 5.1%, or about 7.9 million people…NOT 100 million or 33%. I actually didn’t need to even check the “official” stats to know that your figures were ridiculous, as even Greece is only at 25%. Besides…what relevance does your statement have to do with what I said anyway?!

      • Shawn Hanitty

Hey, twinkie… nobody can stay on welfare their entire lives. It’s a program to help people who are working but can’t make ends meet. You really should learn about the shit you’re bitching about before you start opening your mouth and letting everyone know how fucking ignorant you are.

      • Brian Coons

Hey shit for brains…I know what the fuck welfare is for. And if you believe for a minute that there aren’t people out there making a living off welfare…you’re truly the fucking ignorant one. What the fuck do you think happens to those shit bags that fail to get a job when their welfare runs out?! Oh…I don’t know…go reapply and get more?! And there’s a big difference between getting assistance to subsidize your living needs and just flat out not even trying to get a job and bilking the system for everything you can get. And I wasn’t referring to those who are truly in need of assistance, I was speaking of the bottom-feeding scum suckers who use and abuse the system…OBVIOUSLY! And you think that there aren’t people out there in large numbers who do so? Because it’s “illegal”?! As if there aren’t plenty of ways around the rules, and other bleeding hearts who just can’t stand to see someone go without… I don’t know about you, but I’ve actually had some personal experience with this, and it makes me sick. And if it doesn’t disturb you, I dare say your priorities are a bit out of whack.

      • Monique Shawling

Hey I think I saw the beak of that eagle up your mother’s ass the other day.

      • Brian Coons

Oh wow…aren’t you witty and original? I wonder if your parents had any kids that lived?

      • SonsofAnarchy5768

        Apparently, one typed a comment………lmao…..wow!

      • Monique Shawling

How strange! I also wonder if your parents had any kids that lived! Suck a small world, Mr. Coons! And, by the way, thanks for the compliment. I have been told that exact statement “you are witty and original” by another eagle lover like yourself. In fact, I’m pretty sure he was the same gentleman who came to the eagle’s rescue that was stuck up your mother’s ass. Such a nasty ass for such a noble bird!

      • Brian Coons

Ummm…relying on welfare isn’t what helped him to succeed you jackass. In fact, he obviously decided to NOT live like that, used his brains, drive, and desire to do better to get out of that lifestyle. Something that many of those who thrive on welfare don’t seem to possess. Which is probably something he realizes.

      • Robert Atallo

The most respected in HISTORY? Wow, impressive.

      • John L. Battey

Chief of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital – yes, the most respected in the History. He is to Neurosurgery what Stephen Hawking is to Physics

      • Debra Baker

        not in history really (sarcasm)

      • Jennifer Sheppard

come on you and Robert really should try harder

      • George Edward Booker

A little bit of hyperbole, “most respected in history!” Tell me please who are the second, third and fourth most respected neurosurgeons in history? He used to be highly respected as a neurosurgeon, but he’s not practicing neurosurgery anymore. Being good or educated at one thing doesn’t make you an expert in everything.

      • John L. Battey

Put this into Google and see what comes up; “Most respected pediatric neurosurgeon in History”
There is also his history of active service on the Boards of Directors for major US corporations. ACTIVE service, not just Honorary.

      • SonsofAnarchy5768

Oh because “google” says so, it must be true………..lmao @ brainwashed people!

      • John L. Battey

I already knew what group you were with. No need to belabor the obvious.

      • Augure3VI

That doesn’t mean he’ll become the most respected president. There’s a difference between operating on a brain and operating a country.

      • Debra Baker

        funny

      • Jennifer Sheppard

He is certainly one of the most impressive in history… Is that all you could come up with? your laughable

      • Steve Robasciotti

cuba gooding played him in a movie….can any body else say that

      • Ann Parker Crawford

There was a movie about Ben Carson???

Ben Carson IS a very respected neurosurgeon. He was the first, at least in the US, to separate twins conjoined at the head. It was something like a 22 hour operation. And that is awesome.

And yes, he did grow up “dirt poor.” He lived in subsidized housing and received government aid for food. He used federal student loans and grants to attend college and he benefitted from affirmative action and public schools.

But you?? EFF YOU! Because he wants to cut all of those programs.

      • goldsphinix

this is probably the best statement on the hypocritical genius of Ben Carson.

      • SonsofAnarchy5768

Plus forced vaccinations, more warmongering, he doesn’t think anyone should have semi automatic weapons, plus god only knows what else this moron will say, he thinks he can go up against Putin, I would like to see it!

      • Sydalish

        *you’re

      • mmmjv

No, it doesn’t gall us. You have no idea what you’re talking about

      • Chuck_Key

You must LOVE showing off your ignorance; you do it so well.

      • tman418

Lucrative? He’s *rich*…but NOT like the Obamas or Clintons.

        So?

He and his wife Candy have set up a scholarship fund and give generously to help those raised in the ghetto as Carson was.

That’s really nice. It doesn’t make him any less wrong on just about every issue where he opens his mouth.

That’s one thing the leftstream media leave out: Carson’s family was
*dirt poor* but that black man became a top neurosurgeon…the most
respected in history. This galls whiney liberals.

What liberal ever said that this was a reason to hate on him? It doesn’t “gall” any of us that he became successful.

    • Betty Anthony

Aren’t you talking about the Clintons and Obama? You really have not done your homework, child.

      • John Nelson

Maybe you should do your reading lessons, sweetie, because you obviously are incapable of comprehending what polliwogg was saying.

      • Jennifer Sheppard

that would be you that is incapable of comprehending what the hate filled polliwogg was saying!

      • John Nelson

You really need to go back to school.

  • “Well, another clown has joined the circus ” !!

    • drock10

I guess the first “clown” was Obama.

    • Shawn Mason

Wow calling him a clown, that makes you a racist, I am using your liberal rules from 2008 and 2012 for when anyone called the obama a name or was critical of anything he said, So suck it up you racist piece of trash. the shoe is on the other foot now

      • tman418

Your response Summerbaby is meaningless, unless you can show proof that she (or he) directly called YOU a racist when criticizing Obama (without using racist code language). Otherwise, you’re just projecting “liberal” criticism onto others using the “2 wrongs makes a right” argument.

    • Debra Baker

      you are so right

  • OMG!! And i thought Ted Cruz was an idiot. Ben Carson is just the absolute WORST. But then again, is there anything these GOP candidates can’t do. They just keep breaking the world record of stupidity. It’s insane really!! Sometimes i like to watch them talk. They’re comedians in a way

    • drock10

No you’re breaking the world record with each post.

“Marriage has got historic, religious and moral content that goes

      • tman418

And Clinton changed her views, as she should. Nor did she make extremely dumb claims that people “come out gay” when they go to prison.

And what exactly does your Hillary Clinton quote have to do with anything Summerbaby2015 said?

People like Ben Carson (and there are many in the GOP) are simply pandering to the masses that they know will fall for whatever garbage they may be spewing at the time. If they get enough people to think that they are being taken over by a cruel power hungry government they have more clones going out there and repeating what they heard —but of course NEVER checked on!!

    • Chuck_Key

Spoken like a true liberal who has fallen for everything Democrats have told them.

    • victor

That is a good description of Obama and the Democrats. Cruel power hungry government. Is that like if someone ramped up the NSA’s domestic spying program, having the IRS target political opposition groups, or giving surplus military vehicles to small police forces?

      • Larry Mann

The NSA was Bush’s doing and The IRS was done by others and is a proven fact. The WH has NOTHING to do with the IRS.

      • Jennifer Sheppard

stop blaming Bush already… its getting old. Place the blame on the current President who has been in the White house long enough (too long) and caused way too much damage on his watch. God help us to make it through the rest of his Presidency

      • sm

        ha ha ha ha ha……

    • Betty Anthony

As a liberal Democrat who probably voted for Obama, your spiel is almost laughable.

      • Jennifer Sheppard

God I wish these sheople would stop drinking that damn kool aid already and finally remove the spider webs they have been brain washed not to remove

      • Mary Apodaca

Betty Baby: you obviously didn’t vote for Obama. We get that spiel.

    • Nancy Osbun

I think you had better check out what the power grubbing government is doing, because you apparently aren’ aware. And as an American citizen, I’m tired of being lied and pandered to. I’d take Ben Carson in a heartbeat over what I’ve had to put up with for the past six years.

      • tman418

I’d take Ben Carson in a heartbeat over what I’ve had to put up with for the past six years.

What, exactly, did you “put up with” over the last 6 years?

    • Bonnie McCollett

      Racist

    • Jennifer Sheppard

Marilyn that would be the lying politicians you are referring to.. you know the ones that LIE so often they don’t know the truth from their lies anylonger… just like the media owned by the current government who only report what they want the people to hear!

  • Ben Carson – You are not another Obama and therefore you can NEVER be president so just go sit down

    • Chuck_Key

That’s just the point: he’s NOT another Obama; he has a lot of integrity.

      • Flat Banana

He isn’t trying to be another Obama, did you just assume that because he is black?

      • ummmmmmmmm what sort of intergrity does he have? PLEASE TELL ME.

This is the guy who mentioned that people are not born gay. That they choose to be gay when they go to prison. And then you’re saying that he has integrity ??????

      • drock10

Can you send me your “settled science” peer reviewed and run through the scientific method that confirms one is indeed born gay?

He didn’t say they choose to be gay when they go to prison. He merely highlighted a fact. One that goes into prison heterosexual and leaves gay can only presume one thing to be true. They chose it.

Looking forward to your settled science.

      • Lol i’m not even going to offer a rebuttal. You are just plain stupid and it’ll be a shame to waste my precious time

      • Shawn Mason

The typical reply from liberals, I will translate it for everyone “Reading and learning and shit, makes my brain hurt”

      • I’m not a liberalist. Just a Humanist

      • Flat Banana

She has no clue, only repeats things she has overheard and believes them to be true.

      • drock10

of course she has no clue. She just runs around spouting what her leftist media tells her to believe. They love context when its something they care about, but when something is taken so out of context about someone/something they disagree with then what they are told they regurgitate verbatim.

It’s sad to see someone like Summerbaby clearly not looking into anything, researching her own curiosity, but rather just spout and shout down anyone who has another opinion than what she was just told to believe is accurate.

I am sure she is lining up behind Bernie Sanders since he is a “democratic socialist”, The term democratic socialism can be used in a third way, to refer to a version of the Soviet Model that was reformed in a democratic way. For example, Mikhail Gorbachev described perestroika as building a “new, humane and democratic socialism.” Consequently, some former communists in Russia have rebranded themselves as democratic socialist, as with the party of democratic socialist in Germany.

Lest we forget that Nazi Germany, was a confused state to many as its pretty undeniable at this point that “Democratic Socialists” are they same or can be almost ideally equated to National Socialists/Marxists. Anyone who has actually studied history would conclude this that have an open mind. But don’t tell a “Democratic Socialist” this, as they will get super defensive and say that they are a “humanist” as Summerbaby did in her earlier response to me since she clearly cant support the science behind being “born gay” so therefore she can only resort to personal attacks when faced with a challenge that leads to her house of cards collapsing.

        http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/hitler-and-the-socialist-dream-1186455.html

    • drock10

No, sadly summerbaby is merely highlighting her racism. But wait, she voted for Obama so she can’t be racism. the “tolerant” mind of the lefties will never cease to amaze.

      • drock10, you’re an idiot you see? Lol how can i be racist to my own race? I’m BLACK by the way. So i suggest you shut your trap and EDUCATE YOURSELF

      • Betty Anthony

Plenty of blacks screamed ‘racists’ at any black who did not support Obama.

      • your point?

      • drock10

So tell us all what qualified Obama as worthy to be”president”? if you believe everyone is equal then why isn’t Carson equal with an equal right to be president?

      • No one is saying Carson is doesn’t have an equal right to be president. We are saying that he’s not QUALIFIED to be a president because his ideas and opinions and proposed policies are ludicrous!

      • Flat Banana

That is what you think because you are not conservative so to you everything these people say no matter the topic is wrong. What are some of his proposed policies??????

      • Betty Anthony

        lol, u nailed it

    • Betty Anthony

I sure hope to goodness he is not another obuma, uh Obama.

    • Shawn Mason

Well I thanks the stars he isn’t another obama, Lol You would gladly drink the kool-aide if he offered it to you. You are showing just how ignorant you truly are, you are whats wrong with this country and you are too stupid to know it

  • Benny Mamamelo

So, he has no political experience. There are no set qualifications for being president…as was shown by the election of Obama

    • AlexCass

Yup-Obama wasn’t a Harvard educated lawyer who taught Constitutional Law for over ten years, and then was a US Senator. But forget it-I know he’s absolutely ruined this country, and just undid all the good George Bush did in his Presidency….

      • strayaway

I looked it up. Ben Carson went from Detroit Public Schools to Yale then to U. of Michigan Medical School to become a Neurosurgeon. Obama attended an expensive private school before going to Occidental, then Columbia, and on to Harvard Law School to become a ‘community organizer’ distributing foundation money. Obama teaching constitutional law is ironic. Bush and Obama both damaged the Country. They lied, accumulated $13T of debt (over $42,000/American) between them, expanded the corporatist police state, and have overseen endless wars.

      • drock10

Alex do you choose to remain an idiot or is it just your dna won’t allow you to grow smarter?

      • Shawn Mason

He taught Constitutional Law for over ten years and yet he breaks it constantly, lol

  • Pipercat

    Piranha food.

  • drock10

Wow, the leftists “tolerant” bigotry highlighting their racism. Admit it, if you dislike Dr. Carson then you must be a racist. If you dislike his policies you must be a racist. Right lefties? Because if someone opposes Obama then they are racist, according to the left. So be consistent in your lunacy. Racists!

The only “clowns” I see are those racists who disparage a man brought up in dire poverty who then went on to earn 60 honorary doctorates, become the first surgeon to separate conjoined twins at the head and become the head of pediatric neuro surgery at one of the top medical schools in the world. Yet to the liberal progressive these aren’t accomplishments or achievements in and of themselves. For, since Dr. Carson thinks independently, loves freedom and the constitiution and aligns himself with the conservative side if the aisle you guys want to tear him down. These are the same people who voted for a man with only one real accomplishment to his name, being named editor is HLR, but of course he only edited one paper that anyone can find. What were his other accomplishments? Oh wait, winning state senate? Anyone ever investigated what he did, that’s public record, to win that seat. Or how about how he won US Senate? Investigate that through public records?

Clowns are all you who think Obama was an accomplishment for the mere fact he was a Democrat. but will shun Carson because you’re truly intolerant of anyone who doesn’t agree with you. Some “tolerance” liberals love to proclaim they have a monopoly on. But should anyone with any shred of common sense read this article and the comments posted, one could easily see the left hates anything and anyone that doesn’t indoctrinate itself to the liberal progressive ideology. Forward progress? Give me a break. You only desire progress for those you can control.

    • 1968_Camaro

“Dr.” Carson does not love freedom. He wants to deny LGBT people the freedom to marry. He’s a hateful bigot who has no redeeming value in polite society and should be shunned and shamed for being a bad person. He has evil in his heart, just as conservatism is something very evil. Conservatism is founded on hate, greed, selfishness and a callous disregard for human life (don’t tell me conservatives are pro life, they are NOT. They care more about gun nuts’ “rights” than they do about the lives of children who should be able to grow up not being shot at by some freak with a gun). I am tired of the damage that conservatism has inflicted on our country and the likes of you who mouth off about us “tolerant” liberals. We liberals refuse to tolerate evil, greed, and selfishness. I refuse to tolerate bigots or those who care more about guns than the rights of babies and children to live out their lives without being shot at. No one should tolerate “people” like you or “Dr” Carson. Conservatism is evil and should not be tolerated. Conservatives should be shunned and shamed like smokers are in many places and good people around this nation should be working hard to bring about the end of this cancer on our country. Education, teaching, and encouraging people to adopt values of love, compassion and care for one’s fellow human beings is something we need more of in our nation. We liberals are about what is GOOD in America, while conservatives are about greed, selfishness, hatred and a callous disregard for God’s green Earth and for human life

      • drock10

Obama was against LGBT marriage and promoted “traditional marriage”, did you vote for him and call him “evil”? I will venture a guess, no! Which makes you a hypocrite.

Also, do you believe in Individual Rights or Equal Rights? There is a difference but my hunch is you are a little to shy of air pressure in your 1968 camaro tires to understand the difference.

Evil and hatred in Dr. Carson’s heart? His foundation is a huge educational charity success. he helps kids in 50 states. Want to guess how much of the money his charity raises makes it to the charitable cause it’s meant to help? Just guess. Yet, I bet you love Hillary Clinton and are going to vote for her when the Clinton Foundation charity gives about 17% of all its donations to those they are meant to help. They only do it to enrich themselves. But to you that is not evil.

Your a twit. Educate yourself before you enter a discussion sounding like an idiot.

      • 1968_Camaro

Wow you need help too. Please get a mental health evaluation. Just because someone has a “foundation” does not mean they are doing anything of true benefit. He’s raking that money in for himself. Get help please

I believe in EQUAL rights for ALL Americans including LGBT people. Stop making excuses for yourself and your bigoted “hero”

      • Lol drock10 is so stupid he doesn’t even realize his own stupidity !!! Big fail. This is what’s wrong with our society. People are just so ignorant it’s becoming an epidemic problem. I bet drock10 voted for Bush LOL

      • drock10

I bet summer voted for Obama, twice. Takes what he says as gospel, shouts down others who disagree with his Marxist policy, forgives Obama for how divisive our country has become under his leadership while he fans the flames of racial discord. But wait, it’s gop and old white people’s fault right?

What’s wrong with America is that a person like you sows the seeds of hate but proclaims that you are for equal rights while believing ones rights are more important than another’s. But that’s no surprise, you’re a progressive liberal and everyone must agree with you. Only those who agree with you are equal in your eyes.

        God bless you!

      • I’m not a liberal. I’m a democratic socialist/Humanist.

      • Shawn Mason

You do realize the democratic party wanted to keep slavery going right? That they did not want equal rights for blacks or women?oh wait I keep forgetting most americans do not know history especially political history. So basically you are saying you are all for keeping people down, taking money from people to give it to others who did not earn it and to do the human thing and destroy everything.

      • No point in offering a rebuttal to you when your brain is screwed up due to your extreme ignorance and crassness. You have reached the level where you are projecting it out. Think others are stupid when you’re the one wallowing in stupidity. And oh, i’m WELL versed in history thank you very much.

      • Fed Up

Well actually, you no valid rebuttal. As usual when liberals can’t debate, they resort to name calling. Here’s a clue. Look up quotes by LBJ and Margaret Sanger concerning blacks. Check out who founded the KKK and what the agenda was and still is.

      • tman418

Look up quotes by LBJ and Margaret Sanger concerning blacks.

I don’t give a crap what they SAID. I care about what they DID.

MLK had nothing but praise for Margaret Sanger, btw. And she staffed a LOT of black doctors, nurses, and others at her organizations. She didn’t tolerate discrimination.

      • tman418

You do realize the democratic party wanted to keep slavery going right?

So? Are they in favor of re-implementing chattel slavery today? What does this old history have to do with anything? What is your point? The Democratic party is on the right side of history NOW.

      • tman418

shouts down others who disagree with his Marxist policy,

How is that any different than what you’re doing? You are absolutely “shouting down” people who disagree with your conservatism.

forgives Obama for how divisive our country has become under his leadership while he fans the flames of racial discord.

How is any of this “racial discord” Obama’s fault? How is he responsible for other people’s racism/prejudices?

but proclaims that you are for equal rights while believing ones rights are more important than another’s.

Where did Summerbaby say that one’s rights are “more important” than another’s?

      • John L. Battey

Dr. Carson has said that he believes the Federal Government should have no voice in defining marriage under the law because for it to take a position either way would endorse one belief system over another, violating the First Amendment of the Constitution. For him personally as a Christian, marriage is a Holy Sacrament, but he has recognized that no one has the right to legally force that belief on any other.

      • drock10

And i bet you run around on FB and social media an telling your friends how “tolerant” of a person you are. Yet, listen to your rhetoric. YOU are what’s wrong with America. Not conservatism.

How is liberalism working out for Black America, the inner cities, those stuck on welfare? Oh wait, if corporate America paid more in taxes the system could be fixed. You are literally too stupid to insult.

      • Joan Wilkins

Hey!! Lefty Camaro owner! Doesn’t that car get about 12 mpg? Or is it covering your shame of owning a hybrid?
Everything you are saying proves how much America needs a leader like Ben Carson – you should all be scared $hitless that your puppet = Obama and his puppeteer = Valerie Jarrett are ALMOST GONE!!!

      • 1968_Camaro

WOW YOU belong on the crazy train, too…laughing AT you…laughing AT you also because you presume so much. I don’t have a Camaro…I just like the car. Boy, you need a psychiatric work up. I hope you get evaluated so you can get on the meds you so sorely need

      • Betty Anthony

oh, boo hoo. Conservatives built this country and liberals want to tear it down.

      • Paul Julian Gould

Really? At the building of our country, the conservatives were the Tories, who wanted to maintain colonial status and supported the British… the Founding Fathers were the liberals…

The Democratic Party was the party of racism back in the day, it is true, and they became Dixiecrats after LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act, about which he rightfully said would lose the South for the Democratic Party for generations. And Nixon’s “Southern Strategy” ensured that the vast majority, excluding the the Blue-Dogs ran to the Republican Party who accepted them then and still does with open arms.

And as for blaming Bush? Considering that my great-grandkids will still be paying for his administrations’s mercenary and misdirected wars, who the else should be blamed?

      • Shawn Mason

Another liberal racist, the democrats are the true racists they did not want equal rights for blacks or women, they wanted to keep slavery going, One day you racists will learn to read a history book instead of some shitty little internet page, Prove me wrong if you can, I will wait and wait and wait, The democrats are all about power and control, keeping people in their “place” and putting them on the dole. I dare you to look at hillionares stance on gay marriage before 2012 or obamas oh wait that would require you to do something. the average american could give a shit less about gay marriage, I say go for it I just want to go to the courtroom for the first gay divorce with a bitter custody battle. Do you even know what liberal means? it has zero to do with a political party but I guess you do not know that or much else.

      • tman418

the democrats are the true racists they did not want equal rights for blacks or women

So? Is that the exact same thing today?

I dare you to look at hillionares stance on gay marriage before 2012 or obamas

So we can’t like people who were once on the wrong side of history being on the right side today? What’s your point?

I just want to go to the courtroom for the first gay divorce with a bitter custody battle.

Again, what is the point you’re trying to make with this statement? What do you think is going to be different about a gay couple divorcing with a custody dispute than a straight couple? What are you expecting?

As for me, I’m just happy that gays have the right to be married, and that there can be legal mediation for these disputes.

    • gmartini

The other clowns on the GOP, clown car will inevitably force Dr. Carson to sit in the back.

Regardless, Dr. Carson is the typical, selfish teabilly that doesn’t recall where he came from or what he endured (primarily, a life of sucking at the government teet). He’s got his, scrrrrrrooooo everyone else, right? Another Paul Ryan but with a lab coat instead of already cleaned pots and pans.

Interesting facts about Dr. Ben Carson, Conservative Icon:

      1. raised by a single mother

      2. raised in public housing

      3. fed with food stamps.

      4. supported with welfare wasn’t-dependent-on-government

      5. kept healthy with medicaid…

      6. educated in public schools

      7. got eyeglasses from state agency

      8. benefited from affirmative action to enter college

      9. used federal loans and Pell grants in undergrad school

      10. benefited from affirmative action to enter medical school

      11. med school paid for with grant from USPHS*

      12. said: “The disintegration of the family unit and the welfare state
are enslaving African-Americans and ruining their futures.”

So other than being raised in poverty by his mother make him any different from Obama?

      • gmartini

Obama isn’t a self- loathing black man who denies science. Nor is he a theocratic, hating on the poor, women, minorities, non-Christians, gays wingnut. Nor does he wish to take away healthcare for millions of people. The only thing the two men have in common is the color of their skin.

      • Paul Julian Gould

And as for lack of accomplishments, I don’t think many are aware thar running the Harvard Law Revew is not and never has been an “affirmative action” position… Harvard Law does not and never has played that card… You can either do the gig, or you won’t get it.

Amazing that folks insist on calling the man a “Marxist” and still insist on calling Bernie Sanders a “communist” when it’s obvious to anyone who chooses to learn that they have absolutely nothing to do with anything… Bernie considers himself a Democratic Socialist, which is the form of government most enlightened countries in Europe subscribe to, and which makes their citizens shake their head in disbelief at the cluelessness of so many of our fellow citizens.

For the few that seem to think that anyone’s experience in law and political science disqualifies her/him in in their minds from being presidential, let’s consider the alternative… For all your adulation of Dr. Carson, would you have trusted him to operate on your brain with his only qualifications being a law degree or an MBA? Just something to consider, and joining this thread so late in the game, apparently the mindsets haven’t changed much, except for the worse.

  • Robert Atallo

Nixon was too crazy to be president, and yet…

God these comments just show me that America is fucked. We have a bunch of uneducated morons in this country. Welp to hell we go.

“Marriage has got historic, religious and moral content that goes

A quote from Hillary! who’s crazy now libs?

Gotta love the ignorance of liberals. #typical_liberal_hypocrisy

  • John L. Battey

While I can see some lack of knowledge in quote #5, I don’t see where any of the statements is “crazy”. I would have a question for the perosn or persons who rate them as “crazy”; What flavor was the Kool-Aid?

  • Gregory Winchell

Typical media response to someone who actually has intelligence and knows how to express it. Whenever someone challenges the “status quo” with common-sense they are labeled as being crazy. Happened to our founding fathers, and to most well-grounded men and women throughout our great nation’s history. I’m grateful to see someone willing to speak from the heart and not worry what people think about him. Truth and integrity will do that to people…things we’ve not seen for a very long time.

  • Dwight Gibler

No you have him confused with Bernie Sanders- you live in another world where government entitles you to whatever you desire – free food, phones, healthcare, schooling, and I live in a world that I have to pay for it. Democrats have to keep you be holding ( dependent) or you little brain would realize they are doing NOTHING for middle class, but actually finding ways to spend your money

  • Howard Hoffman

I have followed this man for years- I had a friend who took in disabled children which Dr Carson operated on. This man is genuine and he represents my views well. If he doesn’t represent yours ok- don’t vote for him but let his voice be heard. The national media crucifies anyone who is not their darling. We would have done much better with Allan Keyes vs Obama but he never had a chance to even really be heard. I wish every American could hear what he says and make their own opinion- I fell confident if issues were presented and Carson heard he would be elected with ease.

This Carson along with all the other yahoos that are running for President under the republican ticket have no clue. They have no solutions to our many problems both economic and foreign policy related. All they know how to do is preach ideology and conservative rhetoric that gets transmitted to their little brains from Fox News and their various wealthy corporate supporters and brainwash think tanks. These people wouldnt know a solution if it was put in front of them. They will do nothing for the middle class or poor in this country and are basically puppets of their rich masters. I challenge anyone to tell me what solutions these people have laid out for our economy. What they plan to do to fix our stagnant wages. All they know how to do is preach negative bs and stupid little talking points. Blah blah blah we need to turn this country around… blah blah blah the american people want the govt to stay out of their lives. blah blah blah we need to get business going again they are so restrained by taxes and regulations blah blah blah. All BS,… all of it. In fact its BS mixed with out and out lies. This gaggle of jug heads and there are alot of them this time around need to all go back to their Fox news jobs and STFU.

Aren’t you people sick and tired of the buying of government by big corporations already? They make big donations to immoral candidates so the president and government can address these buyers agenda’s????

I LOVE IT. Carson has got you libs SHAKING IN YOUR BOOTS! While you kids sit around thinking up adolescent insults and making funny little puns, the adults here in Dr Carson’s camp will be working to clean up the mess you’ve left of our country. CARSON FOR PRES!

wow. I feel sorry for those pseudo- intellectuals who deride Dr. Carson as a cerebrally deficient candidate. He is the most magnanimous man to ever run for President. (progressives, please get out your dictionaries) We have to do much better than we have done the last 23 years. Time is not on the side of this country. No more self-serving personal agenda driven bought and paid for career politicians!

Do seriously think that Obama HASN’T acted like a do-nothing rock? Anywhere but on a golf course. Ignores every evil taking place in this country…except for inviting junior bombmaker wannabes to the white house.

I have a masters degree in education, serve as a public educator, have a husband who works in public healthcare and I can tell you without a doubt that Obamacare is a form of 21st century slavery. Hundreds of the friends and colleagues we have in education and healthcare agree that Obamacare gives the government more say in our care than we can afford to have our own voice about. We are “the people” yet the Obama’s plan for us does not factor in our needs. I 100% agree with Dr. Carson: Obamacare is the WORST health care plan for our nation! Sadly Obama snowed the people who vote for a living and get their “facts” from entertainment driven news outlets. My prayer is that Dr. Carson’s message will give hope to those who once thought their options were limited, so they can see how they can truly make a difference for themselves and their families.

Who is tired of same old waste of space in DC? Who is tired of the DC Cartell stealing food from our tables? Take take take. Who is tired of DC creating problems in order to tell us we need more control & less freedom to fix it? Who is tired of poor leadership, thievery, vanity, selffishness, & deception? Don’t let anyone decide who you’ll vote for accept your own complex brain thru research….and I’m talking dig PAST the propaganda to get to the truths!

No, the media has added to his statements to make us THINK he’s said them the way the media wants, they are steering our thinking…As usual. My GOD people, Wake UP! Can we even USE our brains anymore? If we were SMARTER we’d recognize how important it is for EVERY PARTY member, R or D or I, to vote for NON-CAREER POLITICIANS so we CAN have a better life! I’m done with this nonsense! Don’t you realize what Dem’s say about us behind our backs? They actually say we are too dumb to think for ourselves. They believe we can’t function without them! C’mon! Enough already! Stop giving things value simply because they are on TV or in an article! Stop at the truth, not the lie!
